­The USFDA was being pushed to redefine the term “chocolate” to include cheaper versions and still call it chocolate. ­American and Canadian border laws required all travelers to present government issued passports in order to cross to each side, slowing down the tourism industry on both sides.

­Canadian currency has been increasing in value, another factor in the slow growth of the tourism market.

­Market was shifting in a more health conscious direction. There has started to be a demand for more healthier/organic chocolates.
­Current target market is aging and will start to diminish, therefore Rogers needs to begin looking
