I make sure all windows are closed, and retract the antenna if the car is old. I start by hosing off the car to loosen the dirt and soften dried mud or bird feces. Try not to use a strong jet just yet, as this can rub grit over my paint and scratch it. I make sure to aim the jet stream in a downwards position on all surfaces. Aiming upwards around windows may cause water to dribble into older cars. I begin by soaking the natural sea sponge or sheep skin wash mitt in the soapy water, and be certain to wash out any dirt that maybe left in it. Then, I would apply and cover car soap all over my car. My way of washing my car is in sections, starting from top to bottom. I would circle around my car several times, washing lower areas with each round for maximum results. I make sure to keep the wash mitts clean, rinsing it out with the bucket of plain water frequently to prevent scratches on my car. After a section is washed, I frequently rinse it with the hose before moving on so the soap does not dry and stain my paint. As I progress, I try to keep my entire car wet, as this will prevent droplets from drying on to the paint and leaving water spots. I try to dry my car with towels before it air-dries. Now, we are ready to move onto the bottom section of the…

Excuse me, ma’am. Excuse me!” a customer calls out, snatching me from the daze I’d drifted into. “Is it okay if I go through the wash again? My car’s still dirty and there’s some type of film on my windows. Do you see this?” she asks. Without even a glance at her car, I respond, “Of course,” and guide her vehicle onto the track for a second time. A customer asking for a rewash is such a common occurrence that my coworkers and I don’t even think twice about giving them out. Moreover, it’s still early in my shift and the last thing I want to do is deal with an irate customer. So I send her through the wash and carry out my previous task at hand--scrolling through my twitter feed.…

Turnover has both optimistic and pessimistic facets; however it is in the organizations of interest to eliminate the negative impacts and the excessive level of turnover that pressures knowledge continuity (Branham, 2005; Ertl, 2005; Reib, 2008; Zahorsky, 2010). Extreme turnover causes an unjustified weight for a company’s budget and human resources, i.e. time devoted to labour recruiting, advertisements, interviews, initial training, management, motivation, assessments, taking up a new job, mentoring, coaching, and substitution while the position is vacant. Shiners' Laundry Service will target everyone - the young, the families and the elderly. We recognise the importance of conserving a person's most valuable asset - time - whilst providing quality services and products that will meet the needs and wants of our customers. There are many groups of individuals in the Sydney Central Business District; a concentration of high disposable income families who can afford to pay for Restoration and Dry Cleaning, a number of small families who have limited income, and need maximum return on every dollar they spend, those who have plenty of time on their hands, those who are time-poor, as well as individuals who live in high-rise small apartments; where a large garden and washing lines are scarce. For these individuals, there is the ordinary laundry service.
