Cc: Subject: Recommendation for the position of Assistant Buyer

Mrs. Cohen,
I am pleased to recommend Jennifer Ramirez for the open position as assistant buyer in the women’s sportswear division. Mrs. Ramirez started working for us as a temporary hired sales clerk in the designer sportswear boutique of our main store in Miami during the busy 2006 Christmas season. During this time, she proved to be a valuable asset with her quick and friendly demeanor, that we decided to retain her after the Christmas season and offered her a fulltime position.
As her manager, I can honestly say she has by far been the best seasonally hired employee in my career with Clovine’s. She has certainly left a positive imprint on us in the store from the first day she started working. While her seasonal duties were limited to providing excellent customer service to our patrons as well as signing them up for Clovine’s store credit cards, she has shown us willingness and desire to push herself further and openly embrace more responsibility. She is now in charge of special orders for our patrons due to her keen sense of sizing up our customers’ needs as well as training any newly hired employees in the department.
While Mrs. Ramirez might appear shy at first glance you will quickly realize the opposite. Her aspiration to continuously seize new challenges and rapidly succeed within them would make her the perfect contributor for your work center. She has proven this recently by voicing candid observations in regards to current fashion trends and, when given the authority, has taken ownership and pride in executing her ideas by successfully revamping our swim suit collection accordingly. Our sales have increased as a result of her actions.
Mrs. Ramirez will prove to be an excellent assistant buyer as she has proven to truly be in tune with the pulse of
