HA520 Unit 6 Assignment
Problem 16.5, page 602
A) The textbook states that 30 percent of customers pay on the 10th, 40 percent pay on the 13th and 30 percent pay on the 40th day after purchase.
ACP = (0.3 x 10) + (0.4 x 13) + (0.3 x 40)
ACP = (3) + (5.2) + (12)
ACP = 20.2
The average collection period is approximately 20 days.
B) The gross sales as stated by the textbook is $1,200,000 for the year.
Receivables balance = ADB x ACP
The textbook also states that there are only 360 days within the year. The ADB can be calculated as
1200000 / 360 = 3333.3333 or $3,333.33 as the average daily billings.
Receivables balance = 3333.33 x 20.2
Receivables balance = 67333.266
The receivables balance is $67,333.26
C)

    i) The enzyme that would be used to cut the vector would be SalI along with adding the CIP. The main reason that you would cut with the particular enzyme Sal I is because the beginning of the vector sequence there isn’t a stop codon, so but cutting it with Sal I than both the vector and the protein will be compatible. There however is going to be a function of the CIP. CIP is a very important aspect of the whole process because once the vector is opened; the CIP is going to…

    The National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) Department of Defense (DoD) 5220.22M from February, 1995 Section 5 describes how magnetic disks are to be sanitized via overwriting. Within Section 5 it states, “To clear magnetic disks, overwrite all locations three (3) times (first time with a character, second time with its complement, and the third time with a random character)” (United States, 1995). It would seem a three or seven pass wipe would be sufficient, but this level of wiping is not considered necessary today. The density of tracks in hard drives over 15GB in size, which were built after 2001lend them to be satisfactorily wiped with one pass. According to Kissel, Regenscheid, Scholl & Stine (2014), one pass of a fixed data value is sufficient to clear a hard drive, but also states more than one pass is optional. The reason for the new idea of using one wiping pass comes from the lack of space between the tracks and how the writing heads are large enough to cover the space between the tracks. The majority of hard drive wiping tools tout they are DoD 5220.22M compliant and some are actually certified as compliant.…

    The heart is what some determine to be the most important organ in our bodies and one of the biggest contributors. It is one of the major organs that if we did not have, it would not be possible for us to live. The heart is about the size of a fist and is broken down into four chambers, the aorta, superior vena cava, pulmonary artery, and the coronary artery. The four chambers include the right and left atrium and the right and left ventricle. The heart is responsible for supplying oxygen and blood to the entire body. Blood passes through these four chambers and then exits and pumps into the rest of the body. The heart also has three layers of walls…
