The media spreads false propaganda that alters the civilian’s perception of the actual truth in his or her society. This can be seen here, “Thank God for that. You can shut them, say, ‘Hold on a moment.’ You play God to it. But who has ever torn himself from the claw that encloses you when you drop a seed in a TV parlor? It grows you any shape it wishes! It is an environment as real as the world. It becomes and is the truth. Books can be beaten down with reason. But with all my knowledge and skepticism, I have never been able to argue with a one-hundred-piece symphony orchestra, full color, three dimensions, and I being in and part of those incredible parlors” (Bradbury 138). Burn everything. 4. Report back to firehouse immediately. 5. Stand alert for other alarms” (Bradbury 34-35). This quote fully depicts the situation described. Benjamin Franklin established the first firefighting service in order to protect his people. In order to do so he developed rules that would define his practice. These rules were set forth and implemented in every situation a fireman was needed. Benjamin Franklin was called upon to burn books from Britain.
