I studied both English Language and Literature for GCSE as well allowing me to place my mind on a page and express myself using only words. Making it a goal of mine to get involved with the media I chose Media Studies in A level to carry on with my creative side and let my imaginative thoughts thrive.
Taking part in work experience with my school, I attended a local newspaper which took charge of writing out local stories and going to court cases relating to crimes. This gave me the responsibility of taking note of every detail that was mentioned or made known throughout a court case. I was also able to help write out news article in the ways that would interest and intrigue the public. This enticed me to investigate on what makes the public tick; what interests them with the information the media provides. Furthermore, I took part in A level Health and Social Care work experience at a primary school which also allowed me to interact with young students. This allowed me to gain a further insight on communication towards the public and increased my interpersonal skills. Work experience has further driven my desire to get involved with Media
