My Most Embarrassing Moment
Most Embarrassing Moment

I was in 5th grade at Quail Valley Elementary (QVE). Our class was writing reports on animals. I was a stutterer, and had been since I was 3 or 4 years old. I had picked "Sharks" to report on. I knew I would have to read my paper aloud to the class when I turned the paper in to my teacher, Ms. R. Knowing that, I tried to make my paper as short as possible. Ms. R was a new teacher at QVE. Our principal was disabled, and couldn't walk, but she had no problem getting to each new teacher class and checking on the teacher. The principal would roll around to each class with one of the school's new teachers and just sit there on her wheels and watch the class. I had finished my Sharks report and we were sharing our reports. When it comes to my turn, I get up in front of the class, smack on my charm smile, and begin stuttering. Our principal rolls in and starts watching me. I can tell she is about to throw up from watching me stomp my feet and roll my head. Poor Ms. R. What will the Principal think of her now? One of her students can't even read. Unfortunately, my teacher didn't let me sit down. I had to sit there for 30 minutes and [try to] read my paper. I think finally she let me stop, the entire class was probably swimming in my tears by then. That was the most embarassing moment of my life thus

I thought it was going to be a normal day in first grade.. Boy was I wrong! We were learning about different plants and animals. And of course, insects. At the time, I went to an elementary school called Thunder Mountain Elementary, in Grand Junction. We were sitting in groups and the lights were off with the projector on. If I remember correctly, we were also taking notes. Our teacher, Ms. White was, well, teaching us. That’s kinda what teachers do. Maybe teachers do other things we aren’t aware of.. Nah. In second grade, teachers were like, Einstein and the smartest of mentors, not saying that people still don’t think that now. Teachers are awesome and have some of the best or worst stories to tell. But, before today, I didn’t really mind…

When they called us down for the assembly we went down class by class, and they were talking about the B.L.I.G.H.T (Big.Learning.Important.Georgia.Horrible.Test). During the assembly I was just doodling in my notebook until I drew a life like zombie picture of Principle Wright. Then Vice Principal Monk took the notebook and then 5 minutes later I was in the Principal's office.…

I raced over by the teachers who were standing in a circle chatting about the activities planned. I ran up to my teacher and blurted out, “Mrs. Bone! I don’t feel good, I think I’m going to…” Without being able to finish my sentence, I was throwing up into my hat. All over. Kids laughed, teachers were shaken and I was disappointed in myself for not keeping my promise of not getting my hat dirty.…

For 3 years I was required to take take speech therapy during the school days because of my speech impediment. At the time I had no clue that only certain students, like me, were required to take this class. I just thought it was a class to sound out funny words and eat snacks, not knowing that I had a speech impediment. While in this class the teacher would make fridays ‘board game day’ and on this day she would pick a leader to instruct the group of how to play. Being the shy child that I was, I resented this day because I was almost always the leader. As the years went on and the end of my time in this class came to a near, I had begun to break out of my shell. On the very last day of this class I was yet again voted as the leader but this time was different because I wanted to lead and let my voice be heard.…

It was a normal September morning. I was in my second grade class with my favorite teacher Mrs. McClellan. We had just arrived to school and put our backpacks in the closet. We had already been through the normal announcement process and said “The Pledge of Allegiance.” My teacher wanted us to clean our desks with shaving cream, so my classmates and I were spraying shaving cream all over the desks and playing around when our class phone rang. My teacher answered the phone and began to shake. She dropped the phone suddenly and fell to her knees and began to cry. All I remember seeing after that was our principle and other teachers scrambling to get all of us out of school and on to the buses as quickly as possible.…

Similarly, my story in primary school was not a big situation but it made me felt like I will never forgot it. When I was in grade 3, my teacher said I was a slow leaner because I didn’t answer her question correctly. In that time, something was not right in my country’s education system. The students should register to study tutor at their teacher’s house. All of my classmate went to my teacher’s house to study before the next class came.…

My most difficult class was in 7th grade. It was my english and reading class 7th and 8th period. Her name was Mrs. Lumpkin. There were many times where she just found a way to get mad at me and i thought that she might just be doing it for fun. One e I was chewing gum, which I know is against the rules, and she saw me. She told me to spit it out and I went to do it, so I looked towards the trash can and she thought I was rolling my eyes. So Mrs. Lumpkin decides to yell at me in front of the entire class and told me that I was full of myself. And another time I said a line in a book very enthusiastically and she said that I wanted all of the attention and that I needed to stop. But then, another girl screamed out a line the same book, on the same day, and she laughed. I meet the challenge by just listening to her and not saying anything when she got mad at me for no reason.…

I walked in on the first day of freshman year, not knowing what the school year held in store for me. I had no idea what classes and teachers were assigned to me. We went to our first period, which for me was Geometry. The bell rang and came second period. My schedule said "Public Speaking," but I did not have a clue on what that was. I began to get tense and anxious because surprises are not my thing. The teacher walked in and said, "Hi, welcome to Public Speaking. You'll be learning how to speak in front of a large group of people. We will be reading speeches and also debating against one another." My heart dropped. I started to get even more edgy. All my life before freshman year, I struggled tremendously to speak in front of a class. My…

The real story started with 6th grade in 6th my class mainly the boys acted out a lot so when the 8th graders were learning and using curse words we would to trying to fit in as we all wanted to. Some of my friends and the kids in our group had started doing things besides cursing which included damaging and taking stuff and hiding it and that leads to our story. It was november of 7th i think we had almost complete influence over all of our small middle school. The 8th only had 2 boys and 13 girls so the 8th grade boys hung with us. It was our normal routine make it through all our classes. Get to gym tear stuff up. Our main objective was to have fun not caring what others thought of us nor the consequences of such actions. Thus started the worse day of our lives we to sum things up shortly we finished saying dirty things to the girls and headed to gym. We decided we would play kick ball but soon it became who can kick the hardest i kicked it once and it broke the light. The gym teacher was yelling at us for a while but soon ran in her office crying. After arguing with me and my group of friends. It…

Later on that morning I am sitting in my first period class which was speech. I am starting to feel extremely tired and I fall asleep for almost the whole period which was 90 minutes at the time. It was near the end of class, when there was about only 20 minutes left, I instantly woke up and felt like I was going to get sick so I quickly asked “May I go to the restroom?” My teacher must have known something was wrong because she sent her assistant with me. Once I was in the restroom, I pulled out my phone and tried to dial my great grandma so that she could come pick me up, but the numbers started to look blurry. The lady who was with me asked “Are you ok, are you ok? Do I need to go get help?” The story from there on is kind of a fog. I do remember being asked if I wanted to go to the nurses’ office.…

One day, during my lesson, this student was yelling out. When I handed out the assignment I went quietly over to this student’s desk to talk about why that was inappropriate behavior. While I was crouched down next to the student’s desk they pushed me over, I had to send the student to the principal’s office and had to make a hard phone call home. We had just had parent-teacher conferences and had discussed behavior improvements so this was a hard phone call home to make.…
