My Pet Dog
My Pet Dog
Having a pet of your own is one of life's greatest pleasures.A pet gives us love and affection that we so deeply desire in our lives.Among pets the most popular is the dog.Dog has been man's best friend for ages and there is no animal which is as faithful and sincere as a dog.

I have a pet dog named Rocky. It belongs to the Dobermann Pinscher breed. It is black in colour with a shade of golden fur on its neck and chest. It was only 1 month old when Dad brought it home. The first time I saw it , I was just thrilled with joy.It looked like a soft black ball and was so cute. The bonding that developed there has since then, continued unbroken.

Slowly but steadily ,Rocky grew in confidence and came to be a part of our family. It plays with me and accompanies me in my morning walks. The very sight of it's bright eyes and wagging tail brightens up my day.Despite being playful and friendly , it is very obedient and takes my instructions without any complaints.I have taught it certain things and he has proved to be a quick learner. Also it is a very fierce customer when it comes to guarding the house. The sight of a stranger at night brings out the soldier in Rocky and he starts barking ferociously, to scare him away.

Rocky is allowed entry into our home, but it never jumps on the sofa, or destroy anything. It was wonderful toilet habits and loves to be bathed and groomed regularly. He normally eats vegetarian food but also loves fish. Once a week, I feed him meat.He also relishes bread , biscuits and cakes. He loves playing with the ball and the both of us spend a lot of time during the vacations, playing with my bat and ball.

Rocky's presence adds meaning to my life.It has not only given me a friend to be cared by and to care for, but also has made me a more responsible and mature individual. But I know that a dog's life span is very short, so very soon it would have to leave me .Yet I keep praying to God to let it be with me

My family dog is a hairless Chinese Crested named Sid. He is a gray, white, and black dog with no hair except on his head, paws, and the tip of his tail. We rescued Sid 8 years ago from Detroit, Michigan. His owners left him outside in the freezing cold when they moved away. They abandoned him. Adopting Sid changed my life forever. By caring for him, I have learned loyalty, responsibility, love, compassion, and patience. These are traits I see and feel within him as well. I believe animals mirror God’s hope and love for us. For example, God wants us to forgive others who have done us harm. Sid has forgiven his original owners by moving beyond the shy and fearful dog he was when we first brought him home. He is a happy and joyful dog now.…

My pit bulls have taught me that as long as my loved ones and I know who I am and what I am truly like, then I don’t have to worry about what anyone else thinks. Every time I lost one of my dogs, my heart was broken, and I felt like it would be impossible to love another dog, but I feel love again with every dog I meet at the shelter. Dogs teach us what it is to give and not expect anything in return, they teach us the meaning of unconditional love, and the only thing they truly want from us is that same love. Everyone knows that dogs don’t live as long as we do, which is one of the hardest parts of being a dog owner, but it’s because they’re here to teach us how to love. Dogs already know how, which is why they don’t stay for as long as we do, it takes us a little longer to learn selflessness and love.…

He grew up with many dogs like Shawnta the little beagle pup, Beethoven the feisty little terrier, Noah the cuddle boy that unfortunately ran away before his time, but Justin’s all time favorite dog growing up was Tucker. Tucker was a blonde Cocker Spaniel that was Justin’s partner in crime. They did everything together. Tucker even had a squeaker toy that was shaped like a chicken leg. They would play with that toy for hours. I remember hearing a story that Justin hid the chicken leg from that poor dog. Tucker sulked for days and no other toy would suffice for him. They even bought another chicken leg toy for him, but he knew better. Justin told me he forgot where he hid the toy! It was a few months before anyone found it. If I remember the story correctly, it had gotten stuck down in the couch cushions. The moment Justin found that toy, he squeaked it and Tucker came running. I don’t think Tucker let that toy out of his sight after that. The way Justin talks about Tucker, I feel like I missed out on meeting a great dog. Tucker ended up having a brain tumor that was absolutely heartbreaking, and he had to be put down. According to Justin, Tucker was the best dog he ever had, no other dog has come close. Since Tucker, Justin always wanted another Cocker Spaniel. They are hard to come by, so we made other memories with the dogs we had while we were…
