The September 11 attacks (also referred to as September 11, September 11th, or 9/11[nb 1]) were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks launched by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda upon the United States in New York City and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area on Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
Four passenger airliners were hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists so they could be flown into buildings in suicide attacks. Two of those planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, were crashed into the North and South towers, respectively, of the World Trade Center complex in New York City. This book takes the horrible story of September 11, 2001 to a new level of understanding. This changed my whole field- from watching and hearing about the horrible event on television- to actually getting the perspective from someone inside the flaming debris field. Every page is filled with a heart-pounding and a heart-wrenching moment. To have to choose one particular incident that stuck out to me the most would defiantly be hard to decide.…

On the eleventh of September, 2001, four planes set off bound for separate destinations across the United States of America. Little did the passengers know as they boarded these planes that they would never live to see another day, as Muslim hijackers were onboard the flights with the intention of launching a terrorist attack on the country. Two of the four planes were deliberately crashed into the Twin Towers in Lower Manhattan, New York City, killing thousands of people and injuring hundreds more. A third plane was flown, once again deliberately, into the Pentagon – the headquarters of the US Department of Defence – killing everyone on board. The fourth plane was bound for the country’s capital city, Washington D.C., but the passengers managed to stop the hijackers from reaching this destination and instead crashed the aircraft into a field in Pennsylvania. Everyone on board the plane was still killed, but they saved hundreds of innocent…

On September 11, 2001, It was just an ordinary day for everyone living in New York City and Washington D.C, doing their usual routine, but those were about to change in a single beat. Two big towers were completely destroyed, 4 huge commercial airplanes were crashed, one hit the field of Pennsylvania, and the pentagon were almost demolished in a flashed of an eye, a horrible experienced that caused a dramatic reaction not only to the people who saw it but to the people who were in contact of 9/11. After all the attacked, this is something that the Americans will never forget. “This wasn't al Qaeda's first terrorist attack, but it was the deadliest”.(Ojalvo,1)…

The fourth plane was said to be heading for the White House or the U.S. Capitol. However, heroic passengers had stopped the hijackers and crash-landed the plane in an empty field in Pennsylvania. If it weren’t for those courageous passengers who decided to do something, things would have gone much worse. At approximately 5:20 pm, World Trade Center Building 7 had collapsed due to the heavy debris that had hit the building. The other four buildings were damaged. George W. Bush had stated after the attacks that, “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America.” He was right. After the attacks, Americans were closer than they had ever been. People helped strangers on the street and everybody felt the emptiness in their heart because of all the losses on one day. The attacks were financed by Osama bin Laden who attacked in retaliation of the United States support of Israel. Some of the terrorist involved had been in the country for more than a year and others slipped in before 9/11. They had taken flying lessons and chose those specific planes because they help great amounts of…

11, 9, 4, and 2,996. These four numbers have painted a grim vivid image of a dark day in this country’s history. On the 11th of September in 2001, four planes crashed into three distinct locations across the US; the Pentagon, a field in Pennsylvania, and the World Trade Center otherwise known as the Twin Towers. The dreadful day is marked in calendars and remembered in schools everywhere. No matter the background, the race, or the gender, many gather to grieve and recall the events of that fateful day. But what if these events were conveyed incorrectly or even worse, purposefully hidden from the scrutinizing eyes of the public? The two most prevalent theories for this day are that the Bush Administration accepted or aided in the horrific acts…

and Pennsylvania. Al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center. A third plane hit the Pentagon and the fourth plane crashed in a field. Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., including more than 400 police officers and firefighters. The day this happened the United States was turned upside down. This terrorist attack not only affected the ones that was there, but the families, friends and people watching from home. The news played videos and live footage of what was happening. My school was playing the news and I remember seeing people jumping from the burning buildings, hearing them scream and seeing people rushing in to save the lives of the people trapped inside. The news also played phone calls that had been made to 911 from the victims that were trapped inside the burning buildings. Praying for them to send…
