Will Bury, an enterprising inventor, is convinced that soon everyone will be reading or listening to everything digitally, including books that have been mostly available in hard copy. He knows that there are books on CD, but these are relatively expensive and have been recorded using human readers. He also knows that there is technology that can transform the printed word into audio, but the sound is somewhat inhuman. Will plans on speeding up the transformation with a proprietary technology he has developed and patented. This technology takes the printed word for text materials and creates a file with the option of reading it digitally or listening to it with a realistic synthetic voice. Will knows that he has free access to books no longer under copyright protection, and he figures he can pay a royalty fee of $5 per title for copyrighted books that will greatly expand his catalog. So far, he has limited himself to English-language books but is working on a language translation option as well.…

With the Simulation software, it is relatively easy to change the features or price point of a product and have the simulation software predict the market share that the product would attain in the market. This I hope to achieve by using the computer to emulate a real world situation. It is time based, and takes into account all the resources and constraints involved, as well as the way these things interacts with each other as time passes. Simulation also builds in the randomness that would be seen in real life. For instance, it doesn’t always take exactly 5-minutes for a customer to be served and a customer don’t always arrive every 15-minutes. This means that the simulation really can match reality, so when one make changes to the simulation; it will demonstrate exactly how the system would behave in real life.…

The archeological and African origins related to the study of human origins were focused primary on the prehistory of Africa from archaeological perspective. However the Africans had their own problems about the origins of humans but the effect of scientific and universally accepted evidence emphasis will be place on archeological interpretations some people believe that the earliest humans had a relationship with the apes, chimpanzee and gorilla that were found in central Africa. In Africa and the Middle East there was Homo sapiens; in Asia, Homo erectus and in Europe by 30,000 years ago this taxonomic diversity vanished and humans everywhere had evolved into the anatomically and behaviorally modern form. Many say that two recent anthropological studies support the theory that modern humans emerged from both African and regional sources but the debate is far from over. Decreasing levels of human genetic diversity have been found at increasing distance from Africa as a consequence of human expansion out of Africa but the earliest fossils that were found in Africa had a primate of a sub-Saharan Africa. Dubious had found so many different fossil not known where they could be from or if they a human or an apes from many years ago. Historical archaeology is the study of cultures that existed and may still during the period of recorded history several thousands of years in parts of the Old World, but only several hundred years in the Americas.…

Diabetes is a serious disease that cannot be cured and implementing an awareness program will help prevent many people from developing the disease. This proposal shows how to create a program that will help lower the incidence rates of diabetes in Latino communities. The program will demonstrate the importance of working out for 30 minutes a day, eating healthy meals and making annuals appointments for a routine physical exam. The incidence of diabetes amongst Latino residents in California is above the national average and therefore it is an important community to target. The cost for diabetes prevention programs can be affordable, even minimal. It is highly recommended to set an outreach program within the Ministerio Manantial De Amor Church community in Los Angeles, California. Bringing this outreach program into the community can help bring awareness and educational values that may be useful for the Latino community in their everyday lives. Then based on state laws in which the user resides, the unit will send a signal to the ignition switch to allow the operation of the vehicle if the user is legally sober. This will be a wireless transmission from the breathalyzer to the remote switch with a transmission distance of up to 100 feet. Since this could be a marketable product, an added feature of selecting the user's state will be included in order to take into account different limits. The whole design allows for a safe, quick and easy way to ensure one's sobriety and safety. Blow and Go.…

Fast food has become a huge part of American culture and can affect us in our daily lives. Fast food is consumed by millions of American each and every day, which makes it important to determine whether the food is actually healthy. Almost everyone in America has had fast food at one point in their life making the knowledge of whether fast food is healthy or not relevant to everyone. While fast food has been prevalent in America for quite some time now, it is more controversial now than it has ever been before due to the processes in which the food is made and the problems it creates for an individual’s health. It will be impossible for me to ignore the fact that some fast food isn’t that great for you, but the overall criticism of the food is over exaggerated. Fast food restaurant chains offer a variety of different of different foods; some believe or not, are actually healthy. What I hope to prove is that the overall outrage against fast food restaurants is way over the top and that its effect on the health of most Americans is insignificant. Fast food in America has its advantages and disadvantages but I truly believe the benefits outweigh the problems involved.…
