I realize that it's a privilege to have the honour but I am confident that I will be a suitable candidate I promise to work hard to be the effective leader that you would be proud of in the school. I will try to uphold and obey all the rules and become the role model that you can all look up to. I will assist teachers and students in any way possible to the best of my abilities. I strongly believe that I’m respectful a good listener and trustworthy and I also believe that all these qualities are very important in a everyone’s life

Firstly, I would like to start by explaining to you what this position means to me. The School Captain needs to be a respectful but also fun loving person, someone who can represent the school and its core values; Hospitality, Compassion, responsible and respect.

Secondly good listener
Good leader will always listens to others and they never judge about who that person is and what they do. Leaders don’t just bark orders or boss people around. The term captain is synonymous with the term leader. By definition, a leader is someone who is in an advanced position to take the initiative in order to go forth and show the way. A dance captain should be able to make intelligent and creative decisions quickly and efficiently. Dance teams are all about unity. An exceptional group glides across the floor with all of its dancers moving as one. There are no individual standouts. No weak links. But there is one person whose job is to make the team as strong as possible, on the floor and off. It’s one thing to be a good team player, but it's another to be a good captain. Few will have the opportunity to feel the weight of the responsibilities and the happiness of knowing you're making a difference. Being captain of any type of organization in my eyes is a huge job. It’s teaching respect by showing respect. It’s helping 11 girls, including myself, strive and push themselves to be the best dancers I know we all can be. Having the title of captain doesn’t mean being the boss of everyone, being in the front in every dance, or just thinking that the captain should come before everyone else. Captains are the inspiration of the team. They’re the person that everyone on the team looks up too. Being a natural born leader is also a big role of dance team. That means having self-confidence, good communication skills, courage, clear desire to make progress towards a goal, and a fair degree of understanding your fellow teammates. Being a captain requires you to focus on the big picture, doing what’s best for your team even on your worst days. If you’re negative, the team will take on the same attitude, even if everyone else has had a great day. As captain of your dance team, you’ll definitely encounter some sticky situations, like having to confront your friends when they aren’t practicing full-out or telling an injured teammate that she’ll have to sit out a performance. But it’s…

A dance captain should be able to make intelligent and creative decisions quickly and efficiently. Being a dance team captain for the Mighty Marching Lions has so much more to do with choreography and precision. Because we are a part of a Christian marching band, our purpose and our duty to fulfill that purpose is ten times greater than that of a traditional marching band. Without God, we would not have this grand opportunity and because of that we have to do things differently than the world would. We as band members are all working towards a goal which is ministering and showing the world the power of youth through the will of God.…

First, I am a strong leader because I have had experience over the years in leading people. Whether it be captain of my soccer team, or being in Student Council for over five years, I have always be raised as a leader which has helped me develop my skills. With my leadership skills, I have helped lead soccer camps and other community service outreaches. Secondly, my school spirit always is always a strong category for me. I always put the best effort I can into my spirit wear, even if it may be absurd. Last year, I received the most spirited Freshman in Student Council and my spirit has not stopped there. This year, I have won the spirit fashion show contests at lunch both times this year. Also, I even created the hashtag lsnspirit to show off our spirit at Lee’s Summit North. Lastly, I take pride in my dependability. This year in Student Council, I have not received a demerit for any reason. I take pride in this and I plan to continue this as in the past two years I have a positive merit status. Furthermore, my dependability is also very flexible. I am able to switch around my schedule just to make time for any Student Council obligation. Overall, due to leadership, school spirit, and dependability, I will assure you that I will be a productive member of Student…

From the time I was five years old to the time I turned sixteen, I've played soccer. My brother, being seven years older than me, always challenged me to lead my team even when I was young. As a result, I was in control of the team's defense when on the field. Come when I turned thirteen, I was made the captain of my competitive soccer team; My duty as captain entailed delegating on-field roles to my teammates and making sure they were playing the right positions. Also, It was my duty to read the on-field situation and change our game plan to best fit our style as we played. This created a sense of flexibility that has become engrained in my brain ever since. The role of captain may not sound very applicable to an on-campus leader, yet, I'd…

Academically, I am well rounded. I have over the years gained all the necessary basic knowledge to excel in any subject I decide to work at. I study well in groups and have always had a love for tutoring; as such during and after high school I took the responsibility of tutoring my younger sister and her friends at the primary level. Throughout high school I also tutored my friends in order to ensure that leisure time was not affected by poor academics. The passion for helping those in need, has become a part of who I am and I intend to use this to help those around me if I am accepted into the university.…

    Cheer Captain Essay

    • 634 Words

One reason I feel that I would make a great choice for a captain, is that I would be dedicated to the squad, and would not give up when faced with any obstacle. To me, extra practices, time spent making bows, signs, decorations, cheers, organizing stunts, and many of the other things a captain is chosen to do, is not work, but an amazing privilege. These tasks would not bother or frustrate me, because as long as it would help the girls on my squad, I would be more than happy to do anything to help them or our coaches. I would take all challenges, whether they concern individuals, the squad, a cheer, or a stunt, in an effective way that would help the squad grow. My focus is not on me wanting to be one of the captains for the varsity cheer squad, but to help all of the cheer department and the student body to be more enthused with school spirit.…

Second, I have the necessary leadership skills that a captain must have. I am not afraid to speak out and be heard by my team mates. I will get intense if I have to and I will always acknowledge those who work hard. I have the ability to choreograph routines for school performances, which I did last year when I was awarded the position of captain along with Kelsey. When we had a dance team, I took it upon myself to make up dance moves that we used in our routine. I fully understand what stunts go best with what counts, how our jump sequences work, and how much time the team needs to transition from one place to another on the floor.…

I am fun, friendly, motivated, and passionate. I contribute to this school in many ways aside from making good grades. I love to volunteer my help to teachers, and anyone else I see that may need it. I stay after school for tutoring, because my determination to do good in class pushes me to seek extra help for my better understanding. I also stay after school for softball practice and I am a cheerleader on the side. My commitment to these extracurricular activities portray my devotion to the things im involved in. I am very involved in my community as I am a teacher’s assistant at the Science Academy located at the University of Southern California. I participate in the annual Watts health fair as I test the blood sugar and cholesterol of the people in the community. I tutored kids in the after school program at an elementary school, and I am very active in my church. I am a very positive person, and I believe each person has to live their lives as a model for others as I do my two younger siblings where I help them all the time with anything they need help with hoping they follow in my footsteps.
