SU: Scout is leading Mr. Arthur down the hall to say goodnight to Jem.
P: Scout says, “ Boo had drifted to a corner of the room, where he stood his chin up, peering from a distance at Jem. I took him by the hand, a hand surprisingly warm for its whiteness. I tugged him a little, and he allowed me to lead him to Jem's bed” (Lee 319).
C: Scout acts mature here because it's like she's taking charge as a young adult. The courage is not being afraid of Boo anymore but actually calling him a friend instead of being afraid of Boo which she's been for a long time. She steps up and now what she feared before is actually gone and turned into love, trust and friendship.

SU: Scout listens to what a mob of grown men are saying and realizes he heard Atticus ask that question for the second time in two days.
P: Scout says, “ I broke away from Jem and ran as fast a s I could to Atticus. Jem shrieked and tried to catch me, but I had lead on him and Dill. I pushed my way through dark smelly bodies and burst into the circle of light” ( Lee 172).
