I am applying to Monterey College of Law for both academic and personal reasons. First, MCL offers an academic program that few other law schools have. I want to pursue a JD and offers an evening program that accommodates the working professional. I took the time to visit the law school's campus and met with Dean Wendy Laura explained and answered every question about MCL.…
While attending Lewis & Clark College I will foster my passion for nature, environmental advocacy, and politics. Participating in things like the Environmental Living Learning Community will provide an engaging and enriching space to form long-lasting connections with people who share the same desire to promote environmental sustainability. Portland and the beautifully wooded campus at Lewis & Clark provide the type of natural environment that inspires my initiative for environmental advocacy. I look forward to exploring the opportunities near and within Portland, including the many hiking trails. The outdoors have been an important part of my life since childhood. Looking back, some of my happiest memories are from visiting National Parks,…
Ever since I was in about second grade I have dreamed about going to Bishop Lynch. I always heard good things about the school, and have experienced many of them myself. I enjoy that the school offers many sports and clubs, which I would be very active in. I think teams teach leadership, and leadership builds leaders which would help me get far in life. Bishop Lynch provides many opportunities to be included in AP and Honors classes to advance me in my studies. Not only does Bishop Lynch have great academics and sports but you also have a great fine arts department. I believe that creativity sharpens your mind. Lastly, Bishop Lynch High School feels like home. I feel as if I am meant to go to BL. With such a great academic program, fantastic…
In my freshman year, I went to Ohio Mission Trip, which was led by Mrs. Lundquist. While I had an amazing life experience through volunteering, I was able to become closer to my friends and upper classmen. Darby and Sydney Lundquist also joined the trip, and they shortly introduced me about Washington and Lee University. I assumed the college should be very advanced since they were well-known for their excellence in intelligence and sports. This year I attended a college meeting with Mr. Webster to get to know more about the college. It was a great opportunity for me to grasp a big picture of the school as well as more specific details of admissions. I immediately fell in love with the school as Mr. Webster explained about the school in detail.…
Having two younger sisters who also strive for an education at UW-La Crosse, I hope to be a strong leader for them to follow in my footsteps. Personal interests are also a deciding factor, with an outstanding business school, the University is even more intriguing. Marketing and management are fields that draw my attention, encouraging…
Applying to colleges can be a stressful experience, as it is one of the most critical time periods of a student’s life. However, there is extensive information to research that can aid you in deciding which schools to apply to. Various factors like location, student to teacher ratio, cost, and acceptance rate are heavily taken into consideration when students make their decision. When I was browsing through different colleges to apply to, I evaluated many of these different factors. Two of the many schools that I may apply to in the future, after quite a bit of consideration and contrasting, are Salisbury University and Liberty University.…
After visiting Towson for a tour, I realized this higher learning institution has three key ingredients to nurture me in my academic pursuits as well as my personal growth. The first ingredient is Towson’s diversity in campus life. I am impressed with the plethora of campus clubs including special interests and spirituality. The second ingredient is the marriage of research-based learning with hands-on application. I was thrilled to learn from the tour guide about the faculty-mentored research experiences which are student-centered. The third ingredient which helped make Towson University my first choice is its solid foundation in the liberal arts.…

Why do you feel that Seattle University is a good match with your educational goals?…
As a young woman growing up in an urbanized setting and attending public schools all of my life, when the time came to start planning and searching for colleges, I searched for schools that I felt fit my persona, that I would be comfortable attending for some of the most integral years of my life. My search included schools such as Temple University, and Pennsylvania State University, higher education institutions that allowed me to challenge myself, but at the same time would put me in a setting where I would be with others just like myself, fitting into the standard American university fashion.…
In the end, I settled on Macalester College, a small liberal-arts school in Minnesota with a strong emphasis on internationalism and social action. It is certainly more mainstream than most of the schools that began my college search, but it is also intimate enough that I wouldn’t be able to slip through many cracks; it is located in a sizable metropolitan area where my learning would not be defined exclusively by campus boundaries; it is a place where hard questions are encouraged and expected; and its classes and dorms are well-represented by a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives. In hindsight, it was as good of a choice as any I could have made.…
