Titanic Movie Review
Titanic Movie Review

Titanic (1997) is a wonderful love story based on real life events, as told by Rose, the main character of the story. Kate Winslet captured her character beautifully, acting as if she were really in a higher class in 1912. Most of this movie takes place on the Titanic, although some of it takes place in present time when Old Rose tells stories about her time on the ship. The whole movie seems like a flashback to April 1912.

The movie is powerful, wonderful, and at times, very emotional. The dialogue doesn’t seem forced in any way, in fact, it was perfect considering the fact that it was set in 1912. There were no modern words or expressions and for the most part, everyone spoke according to their class or social status. For example, the upper-class men and women spoke as if they were well educated and the people of lower classes spoke rather simply.
Leonardo DiCaprio (who played Jack) was an amazing actor. The love he showed for Rose really interested me to the point where I didn’t want to stop watching the movie. Rose’s Fiancee was one of the characters that I didn’t like very much. I hated the way he followed Rose and tried to control her every move. He was also somewhat abusive towards her, both physically and verbally. Nevertheless, he did make a great character that really tied the story together. The conflict between Rose, her fiancée, and Jack made for a suspenseful movie where you never know what’s going to happen next.
As for the Editing, the movie moved at the perfect pace. It wasn’t too fast or too slow, although the movie itself was over 2 hours long. It wasn’t over edited and it was beautifully put together.
I would recommend this movie to anyone. Although I have watched it over 10 times, the ending always gives me chills. It is my favorite movie for this

This is a good family movie that can show the viewer’s how some people prey on one another. This movie reminded me of the times my brother and I didn’t get along. It shows how different families are and how they treat one another. Sadly this movie also shows how family members can be so cold blooded. This movie duplicates real life situations where innocent People get hurt, family loyalty gets divided and couples end up in divorce.…

Everyone felt the cold breeze on their face, their eyelashes; frozen. Their hair is iced in place and everyone is surrounded by freezing cold water. No one can feel their body, it has only been ten minutes but people around Rose are already dying. The movie, Titanic, is based on historical stories 50 years prior. White Star Line, the contractors for the creation of the Titanic, and many others, believed that the ship was unsinkable. Therefore, no one would get on the lifeboats. Although, today's forensic science proves many flaws that the ship held. The Titanic is the most influential American film because it illustrates a profound look into history, uses engineering to recreate the historical event, and demonstrates how to live life.…

Personally, I think the acting of all of the actors was strong. It was a believable and enjoyable performance all around. Titanic is about a 100-year-old woman who was named Rose DeWitt Bukator tells the story to her granddaughter Lizzy Calvert on the Keldysh about her life set in April 10th 1912, on a ship called Titanic. The plot involves a love affair between a penniless artist, Jack Dawson, and the fiancée of a rich aristocrat, Rose DeWitt Bukater. Who even though the both didn’t have much in common when it came to possessions. They were both humble people who truly fall in love with one another. Basically the moral of the story seems to be that the rich people were stuck up and greedy, while there was some stereotype in this movie when it came to possessions. Back then people were either considered rich or poor. I think that movies like “Titanic” having…

I felt the movie was very interesting with a straight-forward plot that revealed the cultural differences and presumptions people have towards another with out interaction. Ms. Daisy portrays a stern southern woman living on her own, she is not about to give up her independence, though as the movie progresses she reluctantly accepts the will of her son and allows him to hire a chauffeur for her that is a black elderly man. The look of the film was very crisp and clear. There seemed to be no originality in the mise-en-scene and that was perplexing. In the school environment you saw school things, in a work environment you saw work things. It was as if they were more concerned with dating and the period of the film rather than the mood it was trying to portray.…

I felt overwhelmed with surprise and suspense through the first few minute of the film. Yet,I was intrigued by the west feel of the movie and the smart tactics of each character, but the killing and torture were so harsh. The Bad cold heartedly killing a family and later shooting another person in the face, very intense scenes. The scene I appreciated the most was the famous face-off between the three men, the ‘trio’ scene. The impact of this moment was like a little time bomb waiting to unfold. The scene gets more frenetic with close ups of the hand and face as the music got louder. I felt as if I had entered inside the characters’ minds, shaking in my seat along with them in fear and anticipation. The movie affected because I realized how movies can grab hold of my brain and emotions and manipulate them in such a way. Upon leaving the classroom I felt that I had to be ready for sudden attacks. My brain was still captured in the west and felt that I too had to anticipate others movies. I've never been one to watch western films, and after seeing this one it, I gave me an alternative to watching the scary horror movies I usually gravitate too. I always thought these kind of films were not for me and I was pleasantly surprised that it's something I really…
