Morally many statements they said would be wrong, but because of the belief and culture of both audiences. It seemed as if it okay to think and feel such hatred towards people. Trump said, “I am calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.” From that quote given one can understand the reality of ethically how wrong Trump is for making this statement. One cannot discriminate against a certain group of people based off of color, nationality, sexual orientation, or religion. Trump displaces doing this several times. He has the same hatred towards Muslims as Hitler had towards the Jewish people of Germany. One can even look at ethos to better understand both view points as it pertains to Hitler’s and Trump’s views of Jewish, and Islamic people. The atmosphere of the audience of Trump’s listeners shows the effects of today’s current news. Many attacks have been done by people of the Islamic religion. That does not mean that all Islamic people condone of the terrorist attacks. Trump appeals to mostly southern white Americans for his campaign. This is something that is very important to look at. Reason being, one can understand the rhetoric of his speeches more in-depth. Being the fact that many of his followers are southerners there is an educational piece that maybe missing that is needed for Trump’s ideas to be logical and with reason. According to RealClearPolitics.com, “One half of his voters have a high school education or less which is why Trump appeals to that special breed of southern Republican; with a particularly special appeal to Texans.” Trump appeals to people who are uneducated to see how unrealistic his ideas are. Trying to restrict a certain group of people from entering the US because of religion; logically cannot happen. It will automatically go against the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.
