I will never forget
People go through many experiences in their lives. Those experiences, which can be either positive or negative, can affect each person differently. However, the most significant point after a major experience or a crucial incident it is the outcome. One can’t help but wonder if those changes are going to affect the prospective future of that person or the life will go on without consequences. For example, many aspects of my life have influenced my personality and my future life decisions. That is why I want to tell the story about a seven year old boy that changed my life forever.
I remember that particular morning. It was unusually hot and humid. The water park started to fill up with plenty of happy smiling faces and kids running around, waiting for the slides to open. As usual, the morning started perfectly and in right order. It seemed like it was going to be a long day filled with fun and entertainment.
My attendant “buddies” and I were preparing for our morning shift. We were a trained team of experienced doctors and medical students with expertise in CPR and first aid. Over the past couple of years, we have treated numerous minor injuries. Luckily for everyone, there were no big incidents and life-threatening situations in the park, at least, not until now.
It all started when I was half way through my shift, and I saw something strangely moving under the water tube slide. As I looked down, I noticed that the flowers on the ground were moving back and forth. I awkwardly stared at them for a few minutes. Human growth and development affect daily lives and how a person will develop. My life brought great times and not so good times. With going through these different experiences, it brought about who I am today. I never thought as a child how my choices and experiences would influence my life, as I grew older. Looking back into my life, I know that even though not all of my experiences were great, they made me who I am today.…

Throughout the ages, authors have been known to use many of their life experiences in their literary works. They use certain moments that have been imprinted in their heads, because in some way these specific experiences have changed their lives. For instance, Theodore Roethke wrote the poem, “My Papa’s Waltz” in which he writes about a moment from his early childhood that probably affected him so deeply that he was never able to forget about it. This shows that certain moments in our childhood are particularly crucial to the way we turn out to be as adults.…

In health and social care there are a lot of procedures and precautions put into place so that accidents don’t occur, but no matter how careful organisations are with these kind of incidents there is no way really of preventing them. In health and social care a lot of risk assessments are taken to make sure the place is safe but obviously there is still a few things that are unstable or accidents like this wouldn’t occur. What impact do all of our past experiences and relationships, the good and the bad, have on our identities and sense of self? The self is a key construct in several schools of psychology, broadly referring to the cognitive and affective representation of one's identity. In the book Cat's Eye by Margaret Attwood, Elaine's identity and her perceived sense of self is dynamic and all her positive and negative experiences and relationships have helped shape it, as well as my past experiences and relationships have shaped me into who I am today. Much of the important experiences that have contributed to forming Elaine's identity occurred while she was still a child, as this is crucial time in her life to developing her personality and how she interacts with her peers and future relationships. Similarly, the experiences and relationships as a child have had a tremendous impact on my sense of self and the development of my personality. When Elaine enters high-school, her entire identity shifts from being serene and introverted to callous extroversion and notoriety. Likewise, my identity also shifted but not as radically as Elaine's, and I feel I gained great insight and personal growth during my time in high-school. Although we may be very different people in our teenage and adult years, our experiences and relationships as children have an everlasting impact on our developing identities.…

    * Who am I? What life experiences made me who I am today? Was it my family, my social environment where I went to school, the groups, or organizations that I belonged to, or was it certain life events that shaped me? * This paper is my attempt to show that my family and social environment, my life experiences from childhood to present influenced me to be the person that I am today and who I will be in the future. As I reflect upon my life, at the age of forty-nine, I have come to the conclusion that my family and social environment when growing up, surviving cancer in my twenties, and getting married in my thirties are the main social influences and life events that have shaped who I am today and who I want to become in the future. Every one of these experiences has given me something: learning to be independent from family…
