Memo Date: To: December 17, 2012 Xavier Michaels, District Manager of Geek Squad Services Richard Morgan, General Manager (00263) Sarah Draughon, Services Supervisor (00263) Vivin Viswanathan, Advanced Repair Agent (00263) Reconsideration of Planogram for Employee Efficiency

From: Subject:

Attached is a report illustrating the inefficiencies caused by the placement of a planogram. I have attached documents and images to help in illustrating the issue and the solution. First, I communicated with my colleagues about the issue caused by the placement of the planogram to be sure it was not a problem isolated to myself. The majority of the team expressed that the planogram has been underutilized and that it should either be removed or relocated. Next, I questioned management about the current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for checking in client property, but they were unable to harmoniously provide those procedures due to its complex nature. Hooman Sabet, Services Manager, was able to communicate the new process to the team after his training. After receiving training from Mr. Sabet, for the past two months we have continuously attempted implementation of the new structure only to run into hindrances and time inefficiencies specifically isolated to the check-in stage. New hires are unable to pick up on the system quickly and other employees overlook steps during the check-in process of the procedure. Surveying the Geek Squad Precinct team, I have found that they are in agreement that utilization of the planogram is low and it is possible to replace the four foot section with a more resourceful system. We recommend implementing the red-shelf method where we place client property in the order they are received. It was an easy system to understand and execute consistently. The following report will go into detail explaining the replacement
