Bulling Bullying in schools is believed to be a normal part of school life, however, when people begin to have this mentality, they forget that bullying is physically and psychologically harmful to both the bully and the victim. Therefore, bullying must be removed from schools by raising awareness and increasing supervision. One effect of bullying out of many is said to be, Psychological Trauma. This kind of trauma damages the mind which develops as a consequence of a traumatic situation. As soon as this trauma triggers TSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder), memory, emotional responses, intellectual processes, and the nervous system have all been disrupted by one or more traumatic experiences. For example, a victim could have a noise they heard while getting bullied, then later in life they have a flashback of that same noise and cause a problem toward others or to self, due to that traumatic time in their life. All three of these emotions will cause stress. Getting bullied by someone shows they are not wanted by them. When finding oneself in a position where they are being pressured, or intimidated over and over again, they come to feel and believe there is nothing anyone can do to change the situation. Therefore, it lowers confidence (self-esteem). When their confidence is lowered it is challenging to cope through stress. These emotions can cause the victims grades to drop, attitude changes and an increase of anxiety. Bullies do not only physically and mentally harm victims, but they can emotionally harm them as well.
