A condition like this inhibits a person’s performance in everyday environments. Environments that include the workforce, school, or a person’s lifestyle in general concerning his or her daily activities. In the workforce, stress can cause employees to give a poor performance of executing tasks throughout the day. Individuals in the workforce are stress mainly because of the workload of responsibilities they have which involve tending to customer’s needs, following work protocol, and ensuring the safety of themselves as well as others. In a school environment, stress can cause students to become overwhelmed with the loaded material they have to learn and understand within the time frame it is taught to them. Anything that you may have told yourself that you would like to achieve within the next month or the next ten years as it relates to your growth in life. Those goals being to spend time with family, owning a business company, cutting back on bad habits, or anything that adds value to your life. But the impact of stress became so unbearable that it pushed you to your breaking point, causing you to give up. Leaving you defeated, depressed, and afraid of not being good enough or failing the outcome of your situations. According to the American Psychological and American Institute of Stress, nearly 48% of people say stress has a negative impact on their personal and professional lives (“Stress Statistics”, para. 3). If stress has not push you to your breaking point, stress can cause you to transform the built up anxiety into positive reinforcement as a way to achieve the goals you set out for yourself. Allowing you to press pass the pressure of not being good enough and reinforcing you to just be yourself without the added burden. In reality, we all make mistakes and are not
