Human Trafficking in Thailand Case Study
How did the human rights issue come about? Who does it affect and how? How does it affect human rights? 1. This issues has been going on for a while, it all started when people discovered that they can use others to sell them illegally in other states or foreign countries. This affects the human rights of others due to the fact that the freedom of these people is being taken away as a result of them being slaves that are being sold or imported illegally. They are being forced out of their will to do things that they do not want to do at all. The human trafficking affects those living in Thailand because they are illegally brought onto the United States soil to be sold as sex slave and other things as well.
How is the United States government responding to the issue? How are other governments both inside and outside the situation responding to the problem? How do these responses relate to the foreign policy spectrum of approaches you studied in the lesson (isolationism, diplomacy, interventionism, imperialism)? 2. The United States respondent in a professional manner and they prohibited all form of trafficking that were occurring. Around 2000 the U.S congress passed landmark legislation called the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, which provided the basic services to those who were victimize and etc. on the other hand the government from both inside and outside are trying their best to help out and stop the human trafficking for once and for all. Many of the countries signed The United States Convention against Transnational Organization working along with Thailand. Lending them a hand but for those who did not sign it isolated themselves and are not willing to help.
