What did they gain in World War II? Gi bill of rights gave veterans a better life with many opportunities. Women were allowed to work in new professions that were originally made for men. Got to do a little more than what they were allowed to do before.
What challenges did they face at the end of the war? The soldiers were against the possibility of PTSD.A lot of mental illnesses. When the men came back from war the women lost their employment. Still faced discrimination even after they fought in our war.
What progress did they make in the postwar period? New jobs and were able to maintain a steady life, because of the GI B.O.R. The women began to fight back after getting a lot of things taken away from them when the men came back. New momentum for African Americans and their freedom along with equal rights.
