1.1 Explain How To Support Children And Young People
It is important that we help and support children in their advancement of their learning to the best their fullest potential. When children and young people are helped, supported and encouraged with their learning they have the best chance to reach their full potential and thrive, they can also develop a keenness to learn and develop their skills.

Firstly, we can support and advance the learning and development of children and young people we support by motivating them. When we motivate learners, it affects the “nature of an individual’s behaviour, the strength of the behaviour and the persistence of the behaviour”, resulting in them having a desire to participate in learning, working harder, longer and having more zest and passion and in

It is important while working 1 to 1 with children that they are as fully integrated into school life as possible and have social inclusion with their peers. 1 to 1 allows the child to be able to follow a curriculum more tailored and suited to their needs. At the school I work at we have a few 1 to 1 pupils who work on a collapsed time table meaning they go to subjects they are capable of attending or vital core subject like English and maths classes, some will attend creative arts lessons like art, dance and drama but then instead of doing subjects like modern foreign languages will spend that time working on additional maths and English or life skills with a TA and other pupils in the inclusion unit. It also allows TA’s to do activities with the children the children enjoy while including learning opportunities e.g. one child loves animals so she with help from a TA she writes a story about an animal and draws pictures which she like to do and develops her written English skills or sometimes she researches facts about a subject that interests her and makes a PowerPoint presentation about what she has found out, developing her i.c.t
