100th Year Anniversary of Albania

The most important year for Albanians was 2012, when we celebrated the 100th year anniversary of the independence of Albania. The 100th year anniversary of the declaration of independence is a huge day for me, and for every other proud Albanian, because it shows that Albania made it through the centuries of war against the Ottomans. Most events and activities were planned to begin in October and November. The main events were held in the center of the capital city of Albania, Tirana on November 28, 2014 at 11:00am with patriotic displays of flags, anthems, statues and music. People who were walking around were enjoying the atmosphere of that beautiful day. Most of them were dressed from head to toe in red and black because of the colors of the Albanian flag. This event was celebrated among all Albanians because the brave soldiers made it through the war, and because of the achievement that we attained during this period of time.
Years of the war that were fought by the brave soldiers that lead us to the freedom of the country were a big influence in the celebration of the independence of Albania. The Ottoman Empire was expended from Anatolia to the Balkans including Albania. As the years passed, the Ottomans ruled most of the Albanian territory with their enormous army of thousands soldiers. They even set their army in the center of Albania where they had a better control of the country. Their advance was interrupted by George Kastrioti Skanderbeg, the Albanian national hero, who had served as an Ottoman military officer. He abandoned Ottoman service, allied with Albanian army, and successfully fought off the Turkish army in some major attacks like Siege of Kruje and Siege of Shkodra. The final one that destroyed the Turkish army was another successful battle in the Siege of Kruje.
The achievements that we gained during these one hundred years, are the reasons why Albanians celebrated this event. Albania Is one of the most important states in Balkan because
