I remained at the scene to conduct further investigation. I spoke with Victim #2 Tyquan Douglas, who told me the following information in summary:
Douglas was standing on the front porch at 101 W. Washington Boulevard and facing the front door. Douglas then heard approximately eight gunshots. Douglas turned around and saw a dark blue sedan with tinted windows in the number two lane of westbound traffic on Washington Boulevard. Douglas saw the vehicle driving slowly past the residence, but did not see anyone shooting a firearm from the vehicle. Douglas saw the vehicle sped away, heading westbound on Washington Boulevard and out of sight.
Douglas did not see the suspects and may be able to recognize the vehicle if seen again. Douglas was unable to provide any additional information regarding the investigation.
Officer Sailor advised me that several expended bullet projectiles were located on the front porch and inside of the above listed residence. I walked to the front porch and saw one expended bullet projectile approximately two feet from the front porch steps. I also saw bullet holes on the front metal security screen door, a fixed glass window along the front door (east side of the door) and approximately three feet under the above fixed window through the residence front siding.
I walked into the residence and saw two expended bullet projectiles on the dining room floor near the front door. I saw a bullet hole through the north dining room wall which went through into the laundry room. I walked into the laundry room and saw a expended bullet projectile between the dryer and dishwasher.
Sergeant Lomeli #5315 (2S4) coordinated a canvass of the area on Washington Boulevard from El Sereno Avenue heading westbound toward Navarro Avenue for any evidence. During the canvassing, several expended bullet casings were found at the following locations:
Two expended 9MM bullet casings were located near the driveway apron at 101 W. Washington Boulevard. One expended 9MM bullet casing was found in the number two lane of westbound traffic on Washington Boulevard in front of 109 W. Washington Boulevard. A expended 9MM bullet casing was found underneath a Chevrolet Silverado, California license plate #2U11362 which was parked along the north curb line in front of 109 W. Washington Boulevard. The casing was found near the driver side front tire.
I saw a green four door Saturn LW300, California license plate #4TSN389 parked along the north curb line in front of 101 W. Washington Boulevard. The vehicle had a fresh impact mark in the upper portion of the driver’s door frame. The projectile appeared to have entered the vehicle and was not recovered.
