12 Strong In The Heroic Journey
Have you ever wanted to be a hero or even wondered what it would be like? I bet you’ve already been a hero once in your life, I bet you never thought of it either. It doesn’t take much to be a hero you could help someone and you could be a hero just by that. Anyway, this essay is going to be comparing and contrasting two heros from 12 Strong and from The Hobbit. When comparing The Hobbit and 12 Strong in the heroic journey I found that 12 Strong was missing some parts were as The Hobbit was not missing any. This can be seen through atonement with the father, refusal of the return, and the crossing of the return threshold. A difference between the two are atonement with the father, This part is missing from 12 Strong, but it’s in The Hobbit

    What defines a hero? Does it mean having the ability to fly, super human strength, or be able to leap a sky scraper in a single bound?
