GENERAL COMMENTS
A total of 2965 candidates appeared for the Computer Studies paper in the 2013 Fiji School Leaving
Certificate Examination.
The paper was designed to test students’ knowledge and their understanding of concepts as well as the application of their skills, as required in the Forms 5 & 6 Computer Studies Prescription.
This report intends to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates in the exam. It also offers some suggestions on how Computer Studies teachers could better prepare students for both internal and external examinations in future.
MULTIPLE - CHOICE QUESTIONS

Due to the change in format of this paper this year, the number of multiple - choice questions have also changed from 30 in previous years to 20.
This section was not done as expected. 50% of students scored above 10 marks. A lot of students found Questions, 5, 7, 9, 14, 17 and 20 difficult. Comment about each MC question is given in the table below.The correct answers are indicated with a tick ( ).
