I do firmly believe that William Jennings Bryan had great intentions that he could do better for America in helping the farmers by using silver. Although silver and gold had their pros, in the end, gold was more beneficial than silver. In essence, I would say McKinley did not do much to convince people to vote for him since he was popular already, so it has its pros and cons when speaking about these two nominees during this presidential election. Bryan went out and gave numerous speeches a day and had his points, but McKinley knew what would be most beneficial. McKinley once said, “That’s all a man can hope for during his lifetime - to set an example - and when he is dead, to be an inspiration for history." I affirm McKinley's choices allowed America to grow and prosper
