Every time a new scary movie comes out everyone goes the first couple of days to see it, but did you know that the movie that just came out probably had history in it?Scary movies from the 1800s to the 2000s have changed abundantly, they have improved the quality of the movies, each year the movie have a different theme, and most of the scary movies have history. Many people that go see the movie when it comes out did not know any of this so your not the only one.
Between the year of 1900 and 1920 many of the filmmakers are still trying to find new genres of scary movies. In the 1900 one popular movie was ““The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari”, it is about a traveling showman and his fortunetelling somnambulist is a haunting example of the absurd
angles and exploration of madness that’s at the heart of German Expressionism, but is also a outgrowth of the fears and experience brought about by World War 1” (Dave). The movie was by two screenwriters Carl and Hans, they had a message that was the rings loud and clear through the movie. The popular movie in 2000 was Audition “A instilling false sense of security before the nightmare kicks in, but no one can top the tonal whiplash introduced by Takashi Miike’s bait-and -switch master piece” (AVClub). The movie is an instant cult sensation and it was best viewed with no foreknowledge.
In the late 60s and 70s most scary movies has entered a cycle of trying new themes each year.
Between the decades of the 1920s and 30s the theme was was The Golden Age Of Horror, it was considered the finest era of genre. “Once the silent era had given to technological process we had a glut of incredible movies that paved the way for generations to come particularly in the field of monster movies” (Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde). In the 1920s and 30s the first theme was one of the best themes they have made. The theme for the 2000s was The Present Day, “The state of the horror industry s hotly contested. With the genre seemingly relying on churning out remakes, reboots and endless sequels many argue that its languishing in the doldrums once again with little originality to offer a modern audience” (New York Film Academy). When the years past they got better and started to make sequels because the people like the movies so
much.
In most of the scary movies they have some history.

This movie was about Predating slasher films, the giallo takes its name from the color of the covers of pulp detective novels published in Italy in the 1940s and 1950s. The genre includes both police films and
horror films, featuring an overtly expressionist stylization.
When scary movies first came out they were a hit because the people that watched them and because the makers wanted to make a movie that everyone would want to watch. Most of the movies they produced had some history in the movies. Every year the producers try to make new themes for each year.
