Greasers in 1950’s/1960’s

Greasers liked rock and roll music. A major part of their culture and their styles were influenced by singers like Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Johnny Brunette, and Vince Taylor. The teens of 1950s and 1960s adopted the name “Greaser,” they did so with the idea of being rebellious. They rebelled with their looks and attitudes; they hung out in their “hoods.” Their hair styles were a big part of their look as well as their jackets.
