“War is peace, Freedom is slavery , Ignorance is strength.” Having an enemy keeps people united, Men who are independent are doomed to fail, Men who are subjected to the collective will are free from danger. No society can be perfect, love and hate between people always seems to be present because that makes people humans.
The party slogan in the 1984 by George Orwell appropriately uses; “War is peace “ because people act united with each other being enemies than while being friends. Humans can go up to months or even years being friends and not communicating with one another or talking about that person with others, Therefore that keeps society from being reunited with one another. together even in forms of always arguing and or physically fighting. Being an enemy keeps everyone reunited since everyone seems busy trying to get back at the enemy or talking about one another.
Orwell uses; “Freedom is slavery” referring to men who independently tend to most likely fail for the same reason that men believe they do not need anyone else in their life to help them survive.
Men with that type of mindset must realize and change the way of thinking before failing becomes a habit. Help from others in society helps everyone, being independent only benefits one in being able to know that being free from outside control not having to rely on anyone else but only to a point, thinking far beyond that can be horrifying because the mindset changes into not needing the help of others. “Ignorance is strength “ Being in a group keeps everyone together and strong however being alone becomes ignorance by thinking loneliness can be the key of being stress free but in reality loneliness will only get you more stressed just thinking about all the problems and not letting them out with anybody. Groups form to cooperate with one another for whatever the reason might be once again being alone means being ignorant. In “1984” by George Orwell, parties existed in which everyone would do the same as a group and obey the rules in order to be part of the …show more content…
group.
One of the most important slogan becomes “War is peace “ having friends can be most important, caring and loving every single person should be the expectation therefore not everyone cares for each other. Humans tend to always keep enemies closer to them than to their own friends.Having enemies close avoids war and keeps peace the benefit of this can be hearing all the envy they have towards the enemy. Friendships do not always have to be united many friendships are long distanced and do not communicate daily. Enemies are always worried about what one another does or stops doing just until the envy kicks in more. In the book “1984” by George Orwell not everyone in that party loves each other or necessarily are friends, proven that the majority of the men in that party are enemies but do not say one word about it.
This society remains strict that all they can do might just be to observe but not say a word just to keep peace. Peace between enemies seems strange because it isn’t the usual in a “normal “ society. A normal society means that a society where every single person has the right to say what they want to say with no hesitation , freedom of peach , freedom of religion , and freedom. Off course laws must be obeyed but like in any other form of society there are thieves that commit crimes. In this “Normal “ society comes with hate , cruelty , wealthy, poor and all these mixed type of life styles with no general type of peace war always goes on whether in people’s life or in general in the whole
society.
Societies come in different forms of life styles and different rules should be implemented for those societies to follow. War does not necessarily have to be fighting physically, wars go on for years without any physical violence. In a society that has to be perfect if not consequences can be taken care of it might seem a little too difficult to be perfect in every perspective since people must get along even between enemies. No other option given in between two enemies other than just keeping peace with one another and remaining the peace with all the people in the society in order for everyone to keep calm and not cause a chaos between the whole society.
People ask why societies can be so far from being perfect and the answer to that still has not been proven, however it might be because nobody seems to ever be happy with the laws society gives and people choose to disobey the law. “War is peace” is important because keeping enemies close brings peace, without peace nobody will be satisfied not even with loved ones.
