(1888 PressRelease) Powell, Winner of Multiple Elvis Tribute Artist Awards, Will Headline the Saturday Evening Show at the LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival.

Albany-Schenectady-Troy, NY - Travis Powell, Elvis Tribute Artist, will grace the stage May 31 in an evening performance at the 11th Annual LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival in Lake George, New York. Powell was named the Grand Champion of last year's Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, winning the prize from a field of more than 54 competitors.

"I'm beyond excited to return to Lake George for this year's festival," said Powell. "The crowd at the LakeGeorge.com event is phenomenal, and I'm looking forward to giving them a show they'll never forget."

Powell will perform on Saturday, May 31, as part of the headline show, "ELVIS: It's International," which will celebrate Elvis' cultural and musical impact around the globe. The show will take place at the Lake George Forum, with doors opening at 7:00 PM.

"Travis Powell brings an electricity to the stage that you want to be part of," said Jason Sherry, president of Sherry Management, LLC, and festival director. "As a seasoned performer with a voice reminiscent of the King, Travis allows the audience to experience a flashback in time."

During the early years of his career, Travis was an accomplished country rock performer, touring across the U.S. and writing and recording a song that hit the top 100 country charts. He began competing in Elvis Tribute Artist contests and won his first title in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in 2012. His recent win at the Charlotte, North Carolina, Auto Fair qualifies him to compete in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis during Elvis Week, which will take place August 8 -18 in 2014. Travis will also be receiving the Heart of the King "New Horizon Award" for Best

It is no doubt that Elvis Presley, who is often referred to as “the King of Rock and Roll”, is one of the most celebrated and influential musicians of the 20th century. Although Presley was a white man, he did not sing like other white singers before his time; Otherwise, he was a “convulsive shouter if rock ’n’ roll songs”.[1] He may not be the first white singer who covered African-American singers’ song, but he must be the most famous one. The first side of his first single was a cover of “That’s All Right,”…

I went to Mr. O’Neal’s second jazz concert today, which took place at a little bit far but very nice jazz studio in San Pedro. There was a beautiful neighborhood nearby, and it was the first time I’ve ever been to San Pedro. I was kind of tired since I went there right after I got off from work, but I still be excited and couldn’t wait for the wonderful music. My friends and I had a seat before the concern really started, it was a warm and sweet little room. Then I looked at the little stage in front where Mr. O’Neal’s going to perform later, it was just fit to everything. I like the design of the stage: they had colorful lighting on five separate pieces pure white background , a new classic piano, a bright blue jazz drum which I like the best, and a set of red African drum, they really made me look forward to the show. My friend also ordered the pizza the Mr. O’Neal recommended, and we were ready to enjoy the concert!…
