CONTEXT FOR THE TASK
In this unit, students have explored Indigenous Australian Poetry with a specific focus on the poetry of
Oodgeroo Noonuccal. Students have learnt about the key themes of Indigenous Australian Poetry and the techniques used to represent these themes.
Throughout this unit, students have been learning to analyse techniques and themes used in Indigenous
Australian poetry. Students have created developed responses using their analysis and quotes to support their responses. THE TASK
