1. First, the teaching of the restored gospel to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.
2. Second, the building of the Saints in their faith and encouraging them in all of their activities to walk in obedience to the commandments of the Lord.

Seven gifts of the Holy Spirit
1. Wisdom-help us view the world through the eyes of christian faith.
2. Understanding-help us see the connection between knowing our faith.
3. Counsel-help us make moral and good choices.
4.Fortitude-help us courage to face trials.
5.Knowledge-help us to see the truth.
6. Piety-inspires us to call god.
7. Fear of the Lord-help us revere.
We need the Holy Spirit and His gifts so that we can: (a) connect on a deeper level to Jesus, (b) grow as a member of the Church, (c) become more involved with the activities, ministries and mission of the church, and (d) be strengthened to witness the Christian faith by the things we say and do. Through the seven empowering Gifts of the Holy Spirit we are able to witness to Christ by making better choices and living our life the way Christ teaches us to live. In many ways, these gifts of the Holy Spirit we receive play an important role in our maturing as Christians. These gifts help us to live faithful lives; the fruits of the Holy Spirit are the results of the gifts working in people’s lives.
