3 Means Of Communication
To get the ball rolling, I’d like to say that there can be no normal life without communication. People use it to socialize, interact with others, exchange thoughts, opinions, that is to say, to send and receive information. Modern means of communication considerably contributed to the way we communicate. Talking about modern means of communication I would mention two things – the Internet and cellular phones.
Firstly, with the help of mobile phones we can stay in touch and are reachable almost everywhere. Just try to imagine how people managed to communicate without them, say, 100 years ago. Hard to imagine, isn’t it? As far as I know, mobile phone is very convenient device as it allows us instantly access people you need. Furthermore, they can provide access to the Internet and the possibility of texting. But telephones are no longer the only way to communicate orally. They are being replaced by the other software applications like Viber, Skype, WhatsApp and others as they provide cheaper communication. It is worth mentioning that the operation of these services is provided by the Internet. Although, most mobile phones are used for sending short text messages to friends and e-mails are often only a few lines and use abbreviated form of language. We are not able to express our deeper attitudes and feelings in this way.
Secondly, the Internet, that is an inexhaustible source of any kind of information and entertainment for people of different interests and preferences. Besides communication is provides of course. It offers full range of communication like voice/video calls, instant messaging, video conferences etc. Nowadays you can feel that the world is at your fingertips owing to the Internet. But the Internet may become dangerous if used improperly, so try to use it wisely and you’ll benefit.
Having considered everything above-mentioned, one can arrive at the conclusion, that the more elaborate our means of communication the less we communicate. That is due to the fact that we have very advanced technology which allows us to communicate easily with anyone we want to, but it also means that we communicate in a very brief fashion.

Face to face communication is becoming almost non-existent in our society today. Talking in person has become an option instead of a necessity. Sending a text or email has become much easier than having to walk to the next room to hold a conversation with that person. Obviously texting, email, and other forms of technology have its benefits and make life easier but the value of a conversation with someone else is deteriorating. Everything that can be said in person can now be said in a text message with a completely different impression of the emotion being portrayed. Along with face to face communication, people are missing out on the little things due to the attachment of their phones. The phone has almost become as essential as another body part. When walking around a college campus, about every student has a cell phone out texting or checking a voicemail instead of paying attention to the world around them. All the self-involvement in the cell phone causes a person to become more focused inwardly, which leaves less room for anything else such as the people around you or noticing how you feel about the things you are surrounded by. When you’re speaking on your cell phone, you…

Communication: the act of exchanging information. It may appear to be a simple definition. However, when one thinks about the core meaning of the word communication and how people may communicate, it becomes quite complex. Especially in today’s age with so much technology and internet taking over the way today’s society communicates. The ability to communicate is deemed as the most compelling quality human beings possess.
