Establish credibility: Due to the rapid emission of greenhouse gases especially carbon dioxide gas, the earth temperature has raised for 1°C since 1950. As a result, global warming seems to be getting worse each year which leads to rapid melting of the glacier in North and South Poles. This causes an increase in sea level which in turn inundates wetlands and other low-lying lands and intensifies flooding. However, there are some people contribute their strength in order to save their mother earth from deteriorating.

Introduction: Good morning everyone. According to recent news posted by the "New York Times", it has been found out that global warming has become the most complicated issues faced by world leaders as well as scientific community over the years. Due to the rapid emission of greenhouse gases especially carbon dioxide gas, the earth temperature has raised for 1°C since 1950. As a result, global warming seems to be getting worse each year which leads to rapid melting of the glacier in North and South Poles. This causes an increase in sea level which in turn inundates wetlands and other low-lying lands and intensifies flooding. However, there are some people contribute their strength in order to save their mother earth from deteriorating and one of that is the concept of 350. Ladies and gentlemen, the topic of my speech today is 350.

Body of speech: I. Definition of 350
350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide which is measured in "Parts Per Million" in our atmosphere. We must reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from its current level of 392 parts per million to below 350 ppm. In short, 350 is not merely a number but a symbol or goal that guides us to work together in order to reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide to save our planet against global warming.

Transition: Next, let me move to 350.org

II. 350 as an organization A. The plan of 350.org
350.org is dedicated to building a global grassroots movement through social networking in solving the climate crisis as well as pushing policies that will bring the world on track to get back to 350 ppm. B. Example of 350.org’s project
350.org encourages people around the world to minimise the release of carbon dioxide by organizing various types of campaigns and projects such as “Earth freeze”. The international day of climate action is on 24 of October. On this day, the people who involve in 350 will “Freeze the Earth” that is freeze yourself for at least 5 minutes. It is an action to raise the awareness regarding 350.

Conclusion: To conclude, we have seen the purpose of 350 is to cut CO2 emissions and build a global movement for climate solutions. In my speech, I have shown you that what is meant by 350, 350 organization and some ways to support 350. Even though we are not involving in 350 organization, we still can apply their concept in our daily life. We need to work together to preserve our planet by reducing the release of carbon dioxide as it leads to lots of consequences such as greenhouse effects, global warming and ect. Ladies and gentlemen, in order to provide a better environment for our future generations, why don’t we start to build a movement from now onwards?
