CREATIVITY
CASE STUDY
Introduction
The aim of this work is to address the theme of Innovation and Creativity in organizations. The chosen enterprise was 3M Company, due to the major role that innovation plays within this company. 3M Company is a case study for decades. In spite of this, we think it is always fruitful
“to visit” and discuss about 3M success, culture, dynamic and innovation management.
Accordingly Ernest Gundling, author of The 3M Way to Innovation: Balancing People and
Profit, “Innovation is more than just a bright idea; it is an idea that gets implemented and has a real impact. In other words, somebody has to make it happen.” We can say that “We think and
3M makes reality happen”. The Nelson´s Mandela citation -“It´s impossible until is done” – could be presented as the DNA of this company.
