Mary Maloney is very devious. In the stories, “The Landlady” and “Lamb to the Slaughter”, the antagonists are both devious, but one is more devious than the other. Mary Maloney is more devious because she made the police eat the lamb and she pretended to not know that Patrick was dead.…
In October 1939 the T-4 program began. The T-4 Program, also known as "euthanasia" was one of the disastrous part of the Holocaust. This is where Hitler started killing billions of people over night like the mentally disabled and the jews and others secretly if they were seen as worthless like that was a waste of time and food and didn’t fit the imagine of his perfect productive society. It all started with Hitler and the group he found who called themselves Nazis they were a stronger believer of survival of the fittest and he thought getting rid of the jews and others would make them stronger (“Introduction To Nazi”). Later on this belief lead to something bigger called the T-4 program. T-4 got its code name from its address…
The Kentucky Suicide Prevention Group (KSPG) has established them as a program that helps with suicide prevention. According to KSPG the program began as a planning group and has developed into in a group program (2008). During the planning process a needs assessment was performed at the beginning phase and was included in the evaluation plan. After my personal experience in HSYLC I built the HSYLC club at school to spread the spirit of liberal arts education. I organized, led, and helped students to attend China Thinks Big, USAD, and HSYLC. I built an alumni association to gather students from all over the world who have attended HSYLC and invited them to share experience and give speeches about techniques of success. This club has a great influence on me that I improved leadership by organizing a whole group; I gained team spirit by cooperating with club members; I developed communication skills by contact with different people.…
Program planning is a process to achieve a particular goal and/or mission. Program planning is an organized process through which a set of coordinated activities or interventions is developed to address and facilitate change in some or all of the identified problems. Program evaluation provides useful information for improving the programs and the service delivery systems. Program evaluation is to improve the program planning, effectiveness, design, and efficiency. The two are different processes, but ideally they hold the same goals and/or mission. The evaluation process takes place after the planning of a program is complete. The plan will be evaluated for its effectiveness and efficiency. The evaluation can also take place after a program planning has been established and was once evaluated before. The purpose of program evaluation is to review and enhance the implementation and outcomes of a service or program. It is best for a program plan to be evaluated often for its effectiveness over the years. Society changes often, so the program planning will have to change as well. Program planning and evaluation is what makes the program and its services effective. This is what will make them achieve their particular goal and/or mission.…
At the end of my fifth grade year, I unexpectedly got accepted to Risley Early College Academy, a program designed to prepare middle and high school students for college. Risley was originally an ordinary high school, which has been standing for years, but someone decided to turn the school into a college program for young students. Throughout my years at Risley, the school was ranked as number one in testing, which proved that the program was a success. Even though the program was doing so well and had so many achievements academically, the school closed down due to budget cuts. The closing of Risley left me stranded with no other option for a school in mind. This was only part of God master plan.…
This course has given me a more humanistic view of fellow human beings. This is not to say that I did not before have compassion for other human’s beings; rather to say that my understanding of people and what they may be experiencing within their lives has changed some. We judge people everyday based on things such as appearance, speech and the like. If we look at things with a bit more empathy we can truly say that we can or have walked a mile in someone else's shoes. Many times sympathy takes control when really empathy should take hold. Personally, I implement new learning's into my everyday life. I learned to not be so quick to make a hasty decision and that actually hearing someone is different from just listening to them. Carl Rogers said this and I believe it has deep bearings within this course; "An assumption unusual in psychology today is that the subjective human being has an important value which is…
This program has made three positive impacts on me thus far. The program focuses on my development academically, and socially. The first impact is in my math. The third question Identify technical and political aspects of program planning and evaluation you might encounter in the program scenario you chose, and explain how these aspects could affect your planning and evaluation process. I my opinion the technical aspect of program planning would be having qualified counselor in place. To talk to the victim to find out what the victim needs is and what area does the victim need help in such as housing, help with child care needs and education. The political aspect of it would be going to congress fighting for laws against domestic violence making the abuser take full responsibility of their action. Issue that could affect planning of domestic violence program is there housing or a safe house for the victim trying to get out or away from and abuser such as a victim protection plan. The next questions will the victim stay in the program or go back to the abuser. Other…
I can benefit from HISCIP in many different aspects, each aspect of equal importance. The first way I can benefit from HISCIP is definitely experience. By having this rewarding opportunity of being a part of HISCIP, The familiarity I will gain will show me what prospect I will have to live up to and give me a deeper understanding of what to expect from the college lifestyle. This knowledge and awareness will be especially aiding to me and what I will take with me when I do go to college. Another aspect that HISCIP will benefit me in is to give me a sense of accomplishment, a reassurance that all that I have worked hard for hasn’t gone unnoticed. Not only will this give me a sense of accomplishment it will also give my family a sense of accomplishment, relief and the satisfaction to say that they raised me right on the principle and foundation of one thing and one thing only, getting a education.…
