Product: Saint Honore Cake Shop Limited produces ``Double Yolk White Lotus Seed
Paste Moon cakes’’ target the gift giving market as their main market. As it is a
tradional food, the buyer choose to buy Double Yolk White Lotus Seed Paste Moon
cakes for the old generation people. Saint Honore use the aluminium box to pack
the moon cake can help damp proof and lightweight. Another mooncake’s factories
do so and it caused the environment pollution problem. In the new generation , the
producer should concern about the Society problem to make differentiation from
the competitors. Saint Honore produces the moon cakes in Shen Zhen with the ISO
9001 and HACCP standard to ensure the quality .This is the advantage for the buyers
who care about the food safty.
Place: Saint Honore provides 17 retail stores in Hong Kong Island, 37 retail stores in
Kowloon side and 33 retail stores in New Territories. It is very convenience for the
consumer to get the mooncakes. Nowadays, the consumers can buy the mooncake’s
coupon online or in retail stores as a gift instead of buying the box of moon cake.
Saint Honore provide the moon cake’s coupon but doesn’t provide delivery service.
Wing Wah and Maxim’s are the main competitors of Saint Honore, they provide the
delivery service if the buyer order 100 cans of moon cakes.
Price: Many ``Double Yolk White Lotus Seed Paste Moon cakes’’ producers increase
the retail price caused by operation and food material cost increased, especially
the duck eggs. Compare to the retail price of last year, Maxim’s increased 7% of
the retail price and Wing Wah increased 6.5% of the retail price. Saint Honore only
increased 1.7% from the retail price. Compare with those competitors in the same
market , Saint Honore get the lowest retail price with the same quality as last year.
