The five pillars of Islam are the structure of the Islamic faith representing faith, prayer, giving, fasting and the pilgrimage. The first pillar is for the testimony of faith with conviction. The second is for prayer they perform five prayers a day. Third is for giving (support of the needy), forth is for fasting they must abstain from any food, drink, and any sexual relations. Last is for the pilgrimage to Makkah where all that are able to attend go and stand equal before there god. What factors led to the rapid spread of Islam and its continued growth today?
