The 5-Stage Model of Bystander Intervention is a 5-step model in which a person takes to decide if they will help a person or not. Each step has an obstacle, if the person is unable to “pass” the obstacle, they then decide not to help, however, if they pass each step on the fifth step they help the person. For the situation of the students playing soccer, the first step is what is preventing other students from intervening the type of aggression.
