Overview Horseshoe Resort was founded in 1963, as a ski and golf resort in Horseshoe Valley of Oro-Medonte, Ontario. Horseshoe is 47 years old now and mainly focuses on providing the ski and golf operations with other typical hotel facilities. The company’s primary customers are ranging from skiers to golf lovers and the families who are aiming to have activity-based vacations. Additionally, its unique location stands out because it was on the southern ridge of a U-shaped valley. So they can make use of the landscape to construct specific facilities like mountain biking and hiking trails. The current financial situation was not well due to the fact that the net income of 2009 was $541,940 and the ratio of profitability was only 2.9%. As a result, the company has to determine what portfolio of activities and how to invest the fund to increase Horseshoe’s profitability and customer volume.
SWOT Analysis Horseshoe resort has several strengths. Since it was the first ski club located in the specific area with relatively long history, customers will be attracted by its reputation. Furthermore, Horseshoes’ Highlands course has been home to professional events such as the 2006 Canadian Tour Championship, which proves its high quality and proficient construction. Another advantage is the creation of using its U-shaped landscape to build mountain biking and hiking trails throughout the nearby forest for the reason that these facilities are exclusive and only provided by Horseshoe. However, the company is also facing some weaknesses. Compared with its competitors like Blue Mountain, Mount St. Louis Moonstone, the ski operations of Horseshoe with 25 runs and six chairlifts are comparatively limited. As a result, there will be a restriction to the customer volume. In addition, the price of the ski-lift tickets is higher than its competitors except Blue Mountain, which will adversely affect the customers willing to visit. Ultimately, a large portion of direct labor

Young Goodman Brown: This story was confusing at first, but after the second read through I found the story of Goodman Brown to be a great revelation that people aren’t always who they seem to be. When Goodman Brown meets up with the older man, he is essentially meeting up with the devil. The devil then weaves Goodman Brown into what is described as a dream, although to me as well as Goodman Brown, it is possible that it was not a dream. In Goodman Brown’s “dream”, Goodman Brown is lead to a sort of “evil ceremony” where he discovers many surprising people attending such as the minister of the church, Deacon Gookin, and his own wife, Faith. Seeing these people who Goodman Brown thought to be pious, Goodman Brown awakens from his “dream” with a new vision of the world. After the devil’s “dream” Goodman Brown is convinced that everyone is evil and loses his trust in the people of Salem. It was when Faith, Goodman Brown’s wife, was revealed to be attending the ceremony did Goodman Brown really start to lose his trust. When Goodman Brown saw his wife, as well as the ribbons falling from her cap, Goodman Brown lost this idea of female purity. Again, at first the story of Goodman Brown was a little confusing, but the second time around the story represented the great illusion that all people are pure due to moral choice and the illusion of female purity.…

Crabs are decapod crustaceans of the infraorderBrachyura, which typically have a very short projecting "tail" (abdomen), usually entirely hidden under the thorax. They live in all the world 's oceans, in fresh water, and on land, are generally covered with a thick exoskeleton and have a single pair of claws. Many other animals with similar names – such as hermit crabs, king crabs, porcelain crabs, horseshoe crabs and crab lice – are not true crabs. About 850 species of crab are freshwater, terrestrial or semi-terrestrial species; they are found throughout the world 's tropical and semi-tropical regions. They were previously thought to be a monophyletic group, but are now believed to represent at least two distinct lineages, one in the Old World and one in the New World.…
