A: Fats are made up fatty acids and a glycerol. They are stored in cells known as adipocytes throughout the body. When the body needs energy the stored fats are broken down through the process of metabolism and beta oxidation (Livestrong.com, n.d.). For example, triacylglyceride or triglyceride are broken down into their separate parts, fatty acid chains and a glycerol. The body will always metabolize the glycerol first because it is easier to break down for energy but it does not produce the same long lasting energy effects that the fatty acid chains create. The fatty acid chains are broken down into 2 carbon pieces each, which then form acetyl CoA. Acetyl CoA can then enter…

From their advanced means of communication to their ability to craft a variety of useful tools, these attributes not only let them thrive in a prehistoric humanistic way, but also rule the animal kingdom. Despite their rich intellect the general public see apes as nothing more than feeble-minded, rabid beasts, some not even able to distinguish the former from monkeys, who are distinctly different species. Scientists, on the other hand have been conducting extensive research to discover what factors can be attributed to ape’s intricate way of life. She became a Quaker and leader for abolition and women’s rights. Sarah Grimke published Letters on the Equality of the Sexes in 1838 that criticized inequality of women. However she believed achieving equality of the sexes was possible. She argued that God had made both genders equal, but men created inferiority among women and denied them opportunity. She insisted that women gain rights and duties to be able to participate in education, religion and urged that marriage should not limit women’s rights. She believed Americans could achieve equality of the sexes by allowing women to get equal educational opportunities, holding rights during marriage equal to men, and by receiving equal salary as men.…
