Kinesthetic vs Musical Intelligence What are you? In today’s world people learn in many ways rather it is through visual learning or through use of the body, people all over are unique in the methods they use to grasp an idea. The uniqueness in learning styles varies from person to person however there has been a push that there are only seven ways of learning. Often time’s individuals find themselves being able to connect to the multiple styles and this is encouraged, knowing the style that fits is important but not getting stuck in that style is key. The first encounter one will have with finding there learning styles are in the early years, children are taught with all seven learning styles and later figure which one works without being asked to do so. When children are young often teachers help them learn through song such as the ABC’s this is Musical Intelligence or even through allowing the students to touch things that start with that letter and connect this is kinesthetic. No matter how someone learns does not determine their intelligence both Musical and kinesthetic learners have a unique way of grasping information. There are many reasons why people learn using Kinesthetic and Musical styles, being able to understand what kinesthetic learning is and what Musical learning is will be able to better help those struggling with finding their unique way of learning. According to Diane Lamarche- Bisson in her article “Learning styles- What are they? How can they help?” kinesthetic intelligence is using the whole body approach to learning, a person who learns in a kinesthetic learning style uses combinations of multiple learning styles. The use of multiple learning styles consist of using verbal, auditory, visual and tactical in which a kinesthetic learning incorporates into their style.
