8th Grade Legacy
It is the day of your 8th grade graduation. You look around and see your friends and family. You begin to think back and ask yourself “Where has it all gone?” It all seems like a blur. Think back through the years. How do you think the people you have encountered think about you? Will they think of you in a positive way or a negative way? The way in which you are remembered is your legacy. Some people will have respectable legacies, while others won’t. It is up to you what type of legacy you have. I hope that at the end of 8th grade, I will have a respectable legacy.

To leave behind a honorable legacy, I will have impacted the lives of people around me in a positive way. By the end of the 8th grade year I hope I will be viewed as someone who is hardworking and persevering. By the time the 8th grade year has come to an end, I hope to be considered a role model for other students inside the classroom. I think that if I work hard I will be able to achieve these goals and more. If i do achieve these goals I think I will be on the perfect path to leave a respectable legacy behind.

Without goals you have nothing to work towards. Some of the goals I have set for myself this year are to get into a high school program. The programs I would like to be in are Computer Science at Freehold Boro, Medical Science at Freehold Boro, or International Baccalaureate program and Freehold Township. I plan on achieving this goal by studying hard, getting good grades, and always striving for more. Another goal I have set for myself is to make the playoffs this year in football. I plan on achieving this goal by working hard at practice and getting all my teammates to work hard also. If I achieve these goals I think I will have an even more honorable

Goals that I had set for myself and accomplished were bringing my GPA up and getting inducted into National Honor Society. During my freshman year, my GPA was B+ and so I started motivating myself and I did this by focusing on my grades more often and asking teachers for help, who were very kind. I would like to be able to become stronger both in academics and extra circular activities for me to become stronger and a capable student; it will take hard work and dedication just to push myself. As years passed, by GPA started going up and in my junior year where, some of my friends got inducted into National Honor Society and I had not. It had motivated me more to work even harder, and by the end of Junior Year, my GPA was 89.04 and I was ranked…

There are many types of goals. Growing up, I always dreamed of being two things: a mother and a nurse. I am blessed to have two wonderful children ages 14 and 16 and have had the privilege of being able to be a stay-at-home mom during their younger years. Now that they are older and a bit more independent, I have decided to go back to school and fulfill my goal of earning my degree in Nursing. Throughout the years of growing and maturing, I have learned how important it is to have good morals, values, goals, a passion for something, and a good education. I have not only taught my children the importance of these characteristics, but I have also shown them that regardless of one’s age or stage in life, that…

As of now, I have placed in soccer tournaments with various soccer clubs (some of them in the premier division, which is the highest division in MOSA), won elementary school chess tournaments, won the "Catena Fun Run" for my age group, and got the most noteworthy presidential grant there is when I graduated fifth grade. I self-taught myself the piano and can play many classical pieces such as "Turkish March" and "Nutcracker", am in honors math and the gifted and talented program, made "Back in Black" band for my saxophone, and got to go to all the track meets for the 200 meter run, even winning one. Last of all, I received all A+s in every subject for every marking period in 7th grade. Each and every one of these achievements is a piece of my story, or my legacy, and could be considered as great accomplishments for one of my age. Obviously, though, I still have a lot more room to accomplish more and grow, and add bits of success to my legacy. I would like to have the success of being accepted into Biotec, and later go on to become a doctor of some sort. As I proceed with my life, I would also want accomplishments in my interests, activities, and schooling to become part of my legacy as well. However, accomplishments are great, but something else is an important part of your legacy- change. As of now, I haven't really made any immense or significant changes to the school or world. I mean, with everything you accomplish you definitely alter your school and world in some small way, but when I think of a great big change, I think of something that positively impacts everyone in a specific group, such as a school or world. This is why again, I don’t think I have made any huge changes as of now, but I would like to and without a doubt plan on doing so in the future. That's part of the reason I want to become a doctor- with every person they help heal, those people can get back on their feet and…

In order to be successful academically there are some things we need to know, goal setting is one of them and maybe not a lot of us know how to meet educational goals without getting side tracked by other things that are going on in our life. I had no idea how much I needed to think about how I would help myself continuing my academic success until this general education class I had to take opened my mind to new ideas. Setting educational goals is an important part of your academic success, this will help us stay on track on what our educational goal is. A goal will not let me sidetrack if I keep repeating to myself what my goal is. Educational goals will also assist me in planning a good strategy to make my goals move forward and become a reality not just thoughts. I may write down my goal and follow the steps towards reaching it by reading it daily. My educational goal is to finish my criminal justice bachelor in 3 years and no more than that. I am also looking forward to an academic success goal which is getting a job that I enjoy and that pays me a lot more than what they pay me right now.…

My educational goal is to attend Western Oregon University and graduate with a bachelors degree in biology. I want to major in biology because my goal is to become a dentist. After graduating from Western Oregon University I will apply to a dental school to earn a dental degree. During my college career I will work hard to maintain a high grade point average just like I have in high school. My goal for high school was to get a 4.0 all through high school so that I could be the valedictorian. I was able to achieve this by doing my homework every night and studying tirelessly. There was times when I thought that I wasn't going to be able to accomplish this. For example, this year I am taking AP physics and I have always struggled with science…
