8th Grade Theme Song Analysis
Theme song for 8th grade Year Life is just like middle school Sometimes it's hard and difficult, but you need to push through and try to let go and be happy. In the beginning of the school year I didn't know how I could cope with this year being difficult and having fun at the same time. The way I learned to cope with middle school is to let go, don't worry, and be happy. The song that best shows how I coped with middle school is 3 Little Birds by Bob Marley. One of the first things I learned is that I can't do everything on my own so I found 3 people to help me through 8th grade. My mom, dad, and grandma provided the help I needed. The way that this connects to my song is when it says “3 little birds sit by my doorstep, singin sweet

Some common themes that Chrysanthemum deals with are overcoming differences, bullying in school, and self-esteem issues. This picture book is easy for children to relate to because they have all either felt these different feelings. The emotional themes I want to discuss about this book are excited and loneliness. With a new environment, new people and friends, a lot of the times students will become lonely because they do not feel like they fit in or they do not know how to socialize with their friends. In my observation, there is a student name Ryan and he feels very lonely everyday because he does not know how to talk to his friends in his table because he feels shy. He would not talk to anyone during dancing time, work time, lunch and snack…

After I annotated this song and actually looked into what the lyrics were saying I learned that not everyone is who you think they are. For instance, you hide a lot of things from people not because you want to ,but because you don’t know how to tell them or maybe you’re afraid of what they will think of you. In the song ‘Demons’ by Imagine Dragons the singer says,”I wanna hide the truth’(Imagine dragons line 8 box 3) ,but then he says,” don’t want to hide the truth.”( Imagine Dragons line 35 box 8) I think that he is having mixed feelings what he should do. He is afraid that if he tells you that you may leave him or you won’t look at him the same way ever again.…

And I was a High School Musical fan at some point. I’ll still sing to this song when it is played as it is a great song. The tune and is upbeat and the lyrics are very catchy. Not only that, it is super fun to sing along to, especially with my friends. The song hypes me up for the summer as it promises more sleep, parties, and no school. It talks about all the fun parts about summer that I can’t wait for. I can relate to the lyrics as it describes most of my past summers. The song would perfectly describe my feeling on the last day of school as it is of relief that school has ended and summer has…

The breakfast club has one of the most unique and memorable soundtracks of all time. Something that made the movie gave it such a memorable track and the movies “theme song”, "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by the band Simple minds. Something that the movie did that not none to many movies had done at that point. They used this song twice, once at the beginning at once at the end. The two times this song is played in this movie, each function is shown. It shows genre because the movie was release in 1985 and this is around the time new wave music (the song’s genre) became popular. It sets the mood both at the beginning and at the end of the movie. It sets mood at the beginning because of the tempo and rhythm makes…

“Talking shit about a pretty sunset,” is a song that portrays an overall apathetic outlook on life. The listener can clearly hear the discontent expressed in the words sung and the execution in the music. Thoughts of suicide, phobia of commitment, lack and gain of motivation, fixation and illusions of a better life are all present. Through the complex breaks and climax of the song, tells an emotional story of revelation, realization and self-actualization.…

My song that I chose is Centuries by Fall Out Boys, because 8th grade felt like it was centuries long. One relation between 8th grade and the song can be seen in the line “just one mistake, is all it will take”, which is how I felt about almost every test throughout the year. I felt with mostly Bs in my classes, a few mistakes could make or break my grade, which may not have been the intended meaning of the line. "Just one mistake, is all it will take" to get you killed, well... maybe I wouldn't be dead but my grade certainly would be.…

Throughout the song it talks about how school is hard, but it gets better. In the song it says "Filling me up with rules/Ive got to admit it's getting better". Those two lines mean that the school is making too many rules and that the students don't have any freedom, but it gets better. This relates to my 8th grade experience because when I started 8th grade, they had a bunch of rules. Two weeks into 8th grade, the school let 8th grade have more freedom and it got better.…

My parents and siblings, who I live with, are the people who I converse with and learn from on a daily basis. My parents have taught me many life lessons and have given endless knowledgeable advice, they have ultimately molded my character the most into the person I have become. My teachers have taught me an infinite amount of life lessons such as responsibility and how to adapt to new situations, which have both been valuable as I have grown up and as I am expected to accomplish more on my own. My coaches have taught me teamwork and what it means to be a teammate. Lastly, my friends have taught me to be aware of the fact that in high school, every single person is going through something tough and to treat everyone with respect and kindness.…

The song that I chose to analyze is “Changes” by Tupac Shakur. The late Tupac Shakur was an African American rapper who was shot dead years ago. His powerful lyrics have impacted the rap industry to this day, because he spoke the truth. His lyrics directly related to his everyday struggles, and how being a successful African American is not an easy task to achieve. Rap usually talks about events of everyday life, and the song “Changes” talks about racial profiling, poverty, and how racism affects the everyday life of African American people. Note that this song came out in about 1996 where things were different, however the lyrics of this song still ring in the ears of people who are affected by the evil of racism.…

“There's always gonna be another mountain / I'm always gonna wanna make it move.” This line from The Climb is probably the most relevant line to my eighth grade year because this year, as soon as one problem was gone, there was always another challenge. The Climb by Miley Cyrus is the song that best describes my eighth grade year because it is about pushing through tough times, how there is always going to be challenges and even states, “But these are the moments that / I'm going to remember most...”…

“They say I’m too young to understand, say I’m caught up in dream” this could show how adults still talk down to middle schoolers. They think we are still caught up in the magic of being a kid. However we are starting to mature mentally and we are learning new things. Middle School helps us learn to embrace life and Avicii’s song helps us do that too. “Life may pass me by if I don’t open up my eyes.”…

Lieder ohne Worte (Song without Words) is written by the Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. It is a collection of forty-eight short lyrical piano pieces of markedly song-like character that he wrote at various periods of his life between 1809 and 1847. They are well suited to the study of musical form because of their artistic value. Op. 19b, No. 1 Andante con moto in E major was written in 1830 and is the first in the collection. The piece is in the key of E major and modulates from E to B to G major.…
