A Brief Look At Bonnie And Clyde
Bonnie Parker grew up as a good girl with high hopes, but after getting involved with the ex-con, Clyde Barrow, that soon went downhill and she took on a hard, criminalized, murderous life. Bonnie Parker was born on October 1, 1910 in Rowena, Texas. Bonnie had to grow up without a dad because he died when Bonnie was 4. After he died her mother moved her and her siblings to Clement City, Texas. Bonnie was a very good student and loved to write poetry and romance stories. She even won a spelling championship.

In 1925 she met a man by the name of Roy Thornton. A year later Roy and Bonnie got married. Bonnie got a tattoo of 2 hearts put together with their names on it. A few months later though, Thornton was sent to jail for 5 years and their relationship soon ended. “Bonnie was waitressed at a small diner called ‘Marcos Cafe’”(Historybuff.com). A few months later Bonnie met Clyde Barrow. Bonnie and Clyde quickly fell in love, but not long after they, met Clyde was sent to jail. Bonnie would write him letters and would ask him to stay out of trouble. In march Bonnie visited Clyde in jail and snuck him a gun. Clyde used the pistol to escape and thats when their life of crime begun.

She was sent to jail but was soon released because the jury didn’t find any good evidence to prove she did anything. Once released she met back up with Clyde and continued on their crime spree. For a while they settled down in a small bungalow in Joplin, Missouri.They were traveling around with Clyde’s brother and his wife. They were going around and committing crimes with them.
