A Career In Dental School
During my gap year, volunteering and working in the dental field has allowed me mature. For the duration of the year, I also studied for my Dental Admissions Test, scoring a 17 and 18. However, I realized those scores and my grades would not get me into dental school. After speaking to different recruiters, my best option is to enhance my application was to join a Post-Baccalaureate program. My perspective has changed since graduating from college. I am more receptive to change. During the year, I have also joined a kickboxing gym and a Crossfit style gym that allowed me to build a stronger mentality. As I searched for a health profession program to improve my GPA, I came across UC Berkeley. Berkeley will give me the opportunity to raise my GPA and prepare me for dental school. I will thrive at Berkeley because my mentality has changed; I am focused on my career goal. Additionally, Berkeley has a flexible curriculum that will allow me to gain experience, while providing the resources I need to help me be successful. …show more content…
Being hands on in lab is important for my career choice since dentists’ frequently rely on precision. In addition to technical skills, I would benefit from the health seminar course. The health seminar course will help me prepare for the application process and recommend courses I should take for dental school. Hence, having an advisor guide me towards courses and abilities will enhance my dental school acceptance. An advisor could also provide assistance in seeking further hands on experiences and resources that I would not be able to find on my

    I had finally been given the opportunity to continue my higher education at an American institution. I knew that this was the chance I had been waiting for: the chance to study dentistry in a country where oral hygiene is incredibly important.
