One example of a career in which people can be successful without a college degree is a cashier. A student in high school should take up a math course, as he or she will be able to do basic math when required without a use of a calculator for the purpose of counting money and also returning the excess money back to the customer. When in high school, the student should take advantage of the events held at the school and participate in them. The student must be aware of the upcoming projects of the city that he or she will be showing around. To become a tour guide, a student will not require a college degree because the required knowledge can be acquired from school and through the internet. The qualities needed in a tour guide such a kindness, humor, communication is something a student can develop through clubs, in schools and at homes.
