In speak by Laurie Anderson, the main character is Melinda a person that goes to Merryweather high school and, consequently has nobody to hang out with.she only one friend more over her name is Heather.she has problems with her parents and her friends.her favorite class is art. She called her teachers means things about them.her high school the experience is not going well for her. The author wants Melinda to speak about her problems to art teacher because she wants help about the experience about her party.
Throughout the book,melinda has problems with her family because her family got her grades and, consequently they got mad because Laurie Halse has bad grades.Laurie Halse family still doesn't know that Laurie sneak out of the house and,
accordingly called the cops. she also has problems with her friends because she used to hang out with her friends now.all of hers are not anymore because of the situation of the party.even her ex best friend doesn't even hang out with her anymore.Now she only has one friend name heather.
Even worse,there are the problems with her teachers like on reason The problem that is has with is the Spanish Teacher because the Teacher said that she going to speak Spanish the whole year without speaking English. Mr neck gives her always a bad day because Mr neck think that Melinda a bad girl.plus her favorite teacher and class is art and his name is Mr.freemen.
