A Comparison Of Raymond's Run And The Three Little Pigs
When I compared the two short stories, “Raymond’s Run” and “The Three Little Pigs”, I found many similarities in their themes. I believe the theme of both short stories was don’t underestimate anyone. In “The Three Little Pigs”, the wolf underestimates the three little pigs and their houses. The characters don’t appreciate the quality of the brick house and evaluate his house to be the same as his brother’s houses. On the other hand, in “Raymond’s Run”, Hazel (the protagonist), underestimates everyone around her, especially her competitors. She undervalues their speed and dedication. For both Hazel and the wolf, underestimating people really affects them. They do not have any friends and do not recognize others abilities and talents.
